Amazing location, huge pool, clean. As others have said the place needs some maintenance but you cannot beat the location, size and pool.

The house, described as old and unique, lacked modern amenities as expected. However, its state of disrepair was concerning. Safety was an issue with flipping pool filter covers and a hazardous underground cave near the pool (we traveled with small children). A loose glass door leading to pool posed serious injury risks, we had to use duct tape to secure the glass. Maintenance problems included falling kitchen cabinets and a large hole in the laundry room wall, as well as malfunctioning appliances. Pest presence was noted, and essential items like beach chairs and umbrellas were lacking. Despite responsive hosts, the state of the home and lack of essentials make it difficult to recommend this place. To end on a positive, Playacar is beautiful and we felt safe at all times. This home is close to the beach and about a 15 min walk to town.

Highly recommend staying here ! They were always so fast to respond and very helpful! We used their massage suggestion for a masseuse to come to the villa and it was very relaxing and affordable. The Villa is in a safe location. Very private & quiet spot close to the beach! 10/10!!! We hope to come back and visit soon :)

Villa Mayan Breeze is an excellent option if you want privacy and are looking to travel with a large group. Danny and Kim were super helpful through all the process and sent us great recommendations. Everything was clean and organized. Great spot - Beach is just a few meters away from the villa. Looking forward to our next trip to Playa del Carmen and Villa Mayan Breeze.

The home is a great value for the price, the house was beautiful and the gated community felt very safe and secure. 1 min walk to the private beach and ~15 min walk from city center with restaurants, bars, shopping etc. The only issue was the pool had to be cleaned while we were there, despite our stay only being 3 days, which we would’ve liked to know beforehand as the pool is the best feature of the house. The hosts are very responsive and got back to us quickly when we had questions. Would definitely come back!
