Very private, safe and beautiful location with a very reasonable and responsive host. Cecilio and his wife Rosa were lovely people and very helpful. They also will cook you delicious meals!

We enjoyed our stay at Corrina's place. The house is surrounded by trees and is very peaceful. However, the birds are very talkative in the morning to remind you you're in the jungle. We had everything we needed during our stay. The caretakers, Cecilio and Rosita, were very friendly and helpful. They respected our privacy but were available if we needed anything. One item worth mentioning is that apparently, at this time of the year, or the dry season, the water runs out or gets shut off, so we had a couple of days without water for a few hours. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! It is about a 13 minute drive to downtown San Ignacio where you meet most of the tours, etc. It is just close enough to be convenient but also just far enough to be secluded and feel private and peaceful. Cecilio and Rosa are wonderful onsite hosts who are happy to help with anything. Cecilia met us in town when we got there so we could follow to house for 1st time. Rosa cooks a delicious meal if you want to take advantage of that & we ran out of time but wanted to take Cecilio up on his offer to drop you and canoe at river & pick you up later. We also really wish we had spent more time doing the walk the to river. It is about 15 minute walk with some hills but is beautiful. You can also drive part of the way to make it a bit quicker if you just want to get there and enjoy the river. We saw monkeys, toucans and parrots while there. Everything was very clean and they provided some coffee, water, and tea.

Beautiful place to stay and bird watch. Take in breakfast at the Crystal Paradise Resort for more birds but stay here as some of same birds visable from porch. We had uncommonly hot weather. over 100. So never found the river overlook. A map or signs on the property would have been helpful. Do get at least one meal from Rosa.

Location is a bit of a drive from San Ignacio but the scenery and walking trail around the house make up for it. Wonderful stay.
