From the moment we got there, everyone was in love with the place- from the beautiful great room to the 3 spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, my husband, myself, and our 3 kids had an exceptional experience. There were all sorts of awesome insects and geckos around, we heard the howler monkeys every morning and night, saw amazing birds, and loved the quiet and how in the jungle we were. That said, it was a simple drive into bullet tree falls and San Ignacio for everything we needed and a very close amazing swimming hole. We also highly recommend El Pilar, which is a partially excavated Mayan run further up the road- we had the whole place completely to ourselves one morning and saw 30-40 howler and spider monkeys which stayed forever and also some very cool ruins and bats. Highly recommend!!

This place is amazing! The house was above what we expected. And the views!! We loved sitting out on the deck drinking coffee in the mornings and watching the birds and listening to the amazing sounds of the Howler monkeys! Dean gave wonderful detailed directions on how to get there. We cannot wait to come back and stay again!

This house is definitely remote, however Dean sent clear directions that got us there without problems. The property is very quiet and peaceful with an amazing view. We loved waking up in the morning hearing the birds and monkeys all around us. Great place to stay!

The home was a very unique and fun stay away from San Ignacio. The road there is definitely an adventure but it adds to the rustic appeal of it. Just plan 25 minutes to get to town or anywhere else you need to go. Also keep an eye on time as it’s dark by 7pm and a new adventure to travel up at night. Nothing quite prepares you for the howler monkey growls throughout the night. Very cool. Dean was a fantastic host. Very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. Fun stay!
