Imagine having all the amenities of an apartment in a big city - a full-sized fridge and kitchen, coffee maker (a Nespresso Vertuo no less), washing machine, Netflix - in a relatively secluded location for viewing the aurora, but with a size much larger than typical for big-city apartments, and you get a luxurious and superbly comfortable way of viewing the aurora. We lucked out and caught impressive displays of the aurora every one of the three nights we were here and had a fantastic time. A bonus was a ginger cat (?stray or Sasha's) who came by to cuddle overnight when we were out on the deck watching the lights!

Sasha was easy to work with, very responsive and proactive in her communications. The house is very comfortable for a family of four and within walking distance to a few restaurants. We had a great time walking on the frozen lake, snow play, dog sledding and saw the Aurora from the house. Would highly recommend staying in Sasha’s houseboat when you are in Yellowknife.

We loved staying on the lake, the sunsets and access to skiing was amazing. The closeness to Old Town and the Snow castle in March was perfect. The place was clean and cozy and just the right size, with all the amenities we needed. Sasha went out of her way to be accommodating and friendly. We’ll be back!

Que dire de notre séjour à Yellowknife chez Sasha. À commencer par un hébergement très bien expliqué par l’hôte; incluant absolument tout pour y vivre très confortablement sans devoir tout acheter à l’épicerie/pharmacie: Complet de A à Z. Sasha s’est montrée extrêmement attentionnée envers nous, en contact dès le début de la réservation il y a 7 mois jusqu’à la veille de notre arrivée nous préparant la maison avec de quoi pouvoir manger dès l’occupation! Une surprise incroyable également des plus touchantes en guise de cerise sur le sundae (que je garderai sous silence pour ne pas gâcher la surprise), tout pour nous faire sentir encore mieux que chez soi. Je n’ai aucune hésitation à dire que mon hébergement chez Sasha a été de loin ma plus belle expérience Airbnb. La barre sera très haute pour nos prochaines aventures, nous reviendrons assurément chez elle car Yellowknife est venu se tailler une place de rêve dans nos coeurs remplies d’aurores boréales. Merci de tout coeur Sasha !!!
