We booked Orchard Palace as we were visiting my mum who lives in the area; the location is stunning - private, quiet and with lovely views. We also had the joy of watching newly born goslings in the orchard each day. The chalet is perfect for a weekend stay and not far from local tourist spots. There is a good farm shop and pub only a short distance away. Our only slight stress upon arrival is that the google map directions provided by AirBnB, and the address, were incorrect. We spent some time looking for the property but some helpful neighbours knew of the property and pointed us in the right direction. Ree is a delightful host - we didn't meet but spoke on the phone, and she did stop by to make sure we were settled and had everything we needed but we were already out and about with the family. The freshly laid eggs left for us upon arrival were a lovely touch!

Overall very nice place . Host Is lovely gave us eggs from farm but not many things to do in the area .

A lovely getaway for a short break even in the winter. Close to the Forest of Dean for great cycling. The electric heater kept the place warm and cosy. David and Ree made the property available earlier than we were expecting and also provided fresh lovely eggs! They recommended the Red Hart Inn, Blaisdon. We had a fantastic meal so would highly recommend. We hope to return in the nicer weather !

We had a wonderful stay at Ree and David's place. They happily accommodated our late check-in and had kept the place warm before our arrival. Our little one thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Got some delicious farm eggs too. Would love to go back again in summer.

Had a great time there. We drove on from there to Wales and back. The palace was clean and tidy with the essentials we needed. The owners are really nice and pleasant and we will likely be going back there sometime. Thanks Ree and David!
