We (3 adults and 2 kids aged 6 & 3) loved every moment of our week at Buona Vista. The villa is beautifully designed to complement its surroundings and perfectly situated so it feels private and remote while being less than 10 mins by tuk-tuk from bustling Unawatuna. The comfortable bedrooms (with much needed a/c!) and open plan living area suited our needs well. The pool was heavenly: well-sized and the perfect way to cool off after a day out. The jungle views were fantastic and we were delighted to be visited twice by a family of monkeys as well as a handsome frog! However, it was Sahal and his team who made this a truly wonderful stay. Friendly and accommodating while being completely unobtrusive, nothing was too much trouble, from menu planning and picking up essentials, to organising tuk-tuks and tours. We also had breakfast and either lunch or dinner prepared by the chef every day and all food (Sri Lankan or otherwise) was delicious. NB: the egg hoppers are a must-try!

We stayed here for 4 days, a full house with people from the age of 9 to 84! Everyone had an amazing time, we barely felt the need to leave the property! Its pool is by far the best I’ve been in, it’s got a unique slope feature which is highly addictive and enjoyable! The rooms were well appointed, comfortable and with great views. More than anything, the service is what made it exceptional, the staff lead by Sahal was just phenomenal. They were constantly cleaning, being very responsive, cooking amazing meals for us, in fact we only ate out once and regretted it. I would move in here if I could! I highly recommend this place. Every person in our group loved it, look no further, this place is amazing in every aspect, from aesthetics to services. Can’t thank them enough for making it such a comfortable and unforgettable experience! Magic!

We had a wonderful stay and time in this villa that offers everything you need for a relax chilled week and stay !! The host was very welcoming, available and happy to help ! The Villa is amazing and offers all the needed amenities for a stay. Each room has its own bathroom and are big enough and spacious. The real plus was the team available for us and a big thanks to Sahal, our cook that made us all week long delicious meals and adapted to our needs !! I definitely recommend this place for anyone coming to Sri Lanka and looking for some relaxing and resting time !!

We stayed here with our family of 5 and it was beyond perfect. The Villa is beautifully designed and ensures cool afternoons even in the scorching Sri Lankan afternoons! Everything about it is designed with care and precision. It was very helpful that we had our own car however, as the Villa is a 6 to 8 minute drive from the main stretch of Unawatuna. The staff is lovely and is always ready to provide you with assistance regarding transportation or anything you may require. The staff also makes wonderful local meals should you want, and this we enjoyed throughly. Overall, we would recommend this villa a hundred percent and would definitely visit again.
