Interesting one to review.... The reason being, we had a great time, but the building in the photo is not (at all) the building you stayed in. I had 2 choices when I arrived, ask for my money back because (when I enquired why it was different) I was told they had forgotten to update the photos, or, stay and still have a holiday. So...the flat has air conditioning which is an absolute essential in the Ashton December heat, so that was nice. The hosts were very friendly when checking us in. The views are out of this world and even though there is another cottage right there, it felt fairly private. There is no patio though which we were expecting as per the pictures, and the beds are rock hard. So, I actually feel bad writing this review because they really are nice people with a lovely place to offer in incredible surroundings at a decent price. They just need to be honest about what you are booking, and replace the mattresses.

A simple but well-equiped cottage set beautifully in the natural splendour of the Langeberg mountains. Very clean and comfortable. The bed is king sized with quality linen. And there is a separare bedroom (not shown on the pictures). There are two small cottages — Vinkel and Koljander — next to each other, but both are private, with Vinkel having the better view. And what a view. Superb. We will be back.

The Vinkel cottage is a very special place for us. We have been coming to Farmer red beards farm every year for our wedding anniversary. we absolutely love the inside fireplace and the bath Is amazing. Waking up to the breathtaking Mountainview is not only relaxing, but rejuvenateing at the same time. An amazing place to ret and relax and get out of the city.
