Great place to stay if you’re spending time in Kona. Literally right across the road from some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii. Great to sit on the porch and watch the surfers. A lot of activity around during the day and super-quiet at night. Loved our time there. 5 nights wasn’t enough to do all we wanted to do.

great location, really perfect layout for our family of 4 with two teen boys. loved the updated kitchen appliances, nice bath towels, great decor. loved the outdoor shower. really pleasant to sit on porch with the morning coffee. really stocked with everything we needed. appreciated the beach towels, the Keurig, the blender, great temp control throughout the house...all of it! very responsive with any questions we had. I would say our only disappointment was that the area that looks like a beautiful beach park on the map just a few minutes from the house is actually off limits to the public and you cannot access the park. (This detail has nothing to do with the house itself but just something to take note of.)

Location was excellent for our snorkeling trip. Kahalu'u Park was right across the street! "Two step" was 20 min south and Keauhou Harbor was 5 min south (boats to captain cook.) KTA grocery store was also 5 min south and the restaurants of Kona were 15 min north (its good to be out of that area but easy to get to) We spent all but one day snorkeling (one day we drove to Volcano Nat Park.) It was a great trip and a great plae to stay.

The house is very conveniently located to restaurants and grocery stores. Not walking distance, but easy to drive. Right across the street were surfers every morning and we rented gear from the surf shop next door. We had enough space for our family.
