We spent a few days at Clara’s place with family and we felt like home. Very cozy, elegant and well decorated house. The kitchen is fantastic. The area is very quiet, walkable and very close to restaurants, shops and cafes in Southwest Harbor. It is a perfect location to enjoy Acadia NP if you want to stay in an area outside the crowds of Bar Harbor. We definitely recomend it!

We chose this location for a semi-family reunion and couldn't have been more pleased with the location and accommodations! The house is absolutely beautiful, with great sleeping spaces and plenty of different gathering spaces for conversation, eating, puzzle-ing, and stargazing. The host responded quickly to my questions and provided great suggestions for things to do in the area.

My two boys and our dogs loved this house and we look forward to returning. The house is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with equipment and tools. Towels are easy to find. Clara is extremely responsive and goes above and beyond in resolving issues. The location cannot be beat as it’s walkable to town and also to the docks.

I've been visiting MDI for 30 years, and this place is hands-down one of the nicest rentals available. We stayed as two families traveling together, including three t(w)eens. The house is very spacious, with plenty of rooms to come together but also to separate when we wanted to. Everything was beautiful, exactly as pictured in the photos. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The fenced-in backyard was perfect for our small dog to stretch her legs off leash. Southwest Harbor is my favorite place to stay on the island, and this place is an easy walk to the restaurants in the village and the lobster pounds. Clara is a communicative, responsive, but non-intrusive host (just the type I prefer). Only 2 things detracted from our stay. When we arrived, (1) there was ant problem already in progress and (2) the upstairs futon was covered in crumbs, which seemed to draw the ants. Surprising for a property of this caliber at this price point. Clara was responsive and brought over traps.
