Our stay with Peter was completely perfect. Right from our airport transfer and homemade yummy first dinner, to our perfect final day and local choccy parting gift. Peter was the ultimate host. In short, the grounds are paradise. A sign of true care and craft the amenities make the stay effortless. Monkey watching from our private terrace, making pals with other guests in the rock pool or sharing stories over pizza making in the stone oven were just a few of the highlights. Peter even fixed up his old Saxophone for us to have a play. I would recommend renting a car as we did, which is super easy, flexible and reasonable to do but we still spent a good couple of days in bliss lounging in the palms and pool on site. No request was too much for peter. This was easily one of the best homestays either my partner or I have stayed at. 1 week was not enough but 1 month wouldn't have been either, we cannot wait to come back. Thank you Peter

Wir würden mehr Sterne geben, wenn es möglich wäre. Die Unterkunft war traumhaft. Peter ist ein wundervoller Gastgeber. Er hat für uns eingekauft und gekocht. Wenn wir gewollt hätten, hätte er weitere Aktivitäten für uns organisiert. Wir hatten am ersten Tag kleinere Schwierigkeiten, Peter hat uns sehr zuvorkommend geholfen. Er hat sich um den Transport vom Flughafen bis zur Unterkunft gekümmert. Das Haus war sehr geräumig, die Ausstattung gut und ausreichend. Die Hunde sind freundlich, aber nicht aufdringlich und eine gute Alarmanlage, sodass man sich immer sicher fühlt. Der Pool ist herrlich! Wir hatten einen perfekten Start in unseren Urlaub. Wir würden empfehlen, ein Auto zu mieten, wenn man einige Ausflüge machen möchte. Wenn man das Grün genießen möchte, wird einem nicht langweilig. Wenn wir noch einmal nach Barbados kommen, werden wir wieder hier wohnen wollen und es all unseren Freunden empfehlen. So ein besonderer Ort!

We had a wonderful week at Oughterson - real care has gone into crafting a community of beautiful, simplistic dwellings; a gorgeous pool; two lovely outdoor dining areas and tropical gardens to lose yourself in but as everyone else has affirmed before us, it’s Peter who makes the place. From doing your shopping before you arrive, organising the airport pick-up, the delicious welcome meal, your first breakfast, movie and pizza nights (complete with guitars and some impromptu tunes) you can’t go wrong here. He is great company too! We loved being on the East side of the Island away from the more touristy areas and would recommend you hire a car. We can’t recommend Oughterson enough if you want to get away from the usual hotel set-up & wake up to the sounds of the birds & monkeys in the gently swaying trees. So glad we discovered this slice of paradise. Thanks again Peter for your special hospitality – we hope to be back one day (and we’ll make sure we have jam-night covered next time!)

It was such a pleasure to be in Peter's company, he truly welcomes you into his space and makes you feel right at home. He greeted us at the airport with 2 cool beers, which after a long flight was just what we needed. Our first night, he cooked us a wonderful meal. He helped to organise car hire from his friend Delroy. Phoenix loft has been thoughtfully built by Peter, there is a beautiful spiral staircase leading up to the sleeping area. The shutters open up parallel to the bed, so when you are sleeping you feel the cool breeze. You are surrounded by nature so expect some guests - sparrows and lizards and of course the dogs! We had fun playing wagball in the pool. Peter hosts a jam session on Sundays, so if you are musically inclined (or not!) join in - you'll have so much fun! Thursday was pizza night, we made fresh pizza in the wood oven, sat around with peter and the other guests who had become new friends. i could write so much more..I just know we'll be visiting again someday.

Words can not describe what it's like to stay at Oughterson. Peter has created something very unique that I'm not sure any one but Peter could achieve. As said before he is the most hospital host who gives you the freedom to be you. We are on an extended trip of the island and found bus routes easily enough to go where we wanted, should you be a family a hire car would be better. I really will treasure the memories created here, and should I return to Barbados, here is where I shall come.
