This cabin is exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful view and great location! If you’re looking for a place to unwind, away from the hustle and bustle this is it. Easy walk down to the beach for great night star gazing. The sunrise view from the bedroom balcony was stunning and a perfect way to enjoy my morning coffee. A quick, short distance to Acadia Schoodic peninsula. MUST check it out! The quaint, peaceful town of Winter Haven is just a few minutes down the road offering a great five & dime/general store for just about anything you may need.

What a beautiful, restful place. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable with a breathtaking view. The stargazing on the deck off of the 2nd floor bedroom was phenomenal. John quickly responded to my questions and was very friendly. I love Schoodic Point which is a short drive from the house, and Bar Harbor and the busier side of Acadia aren't far away. I especially loved Joe's oyster shack down the road. Winter Harbor and Corea both have nearby co-ops with live lobsters and Winter Harbor offers additional fresh seafood and sides. I highly recommend staying here. I will be back.

This rustic cabin has views even better than the pics. John’s place is truly a peaceful getaway. The internet is too slow for remote work, but it made for the perfect spot to unwind and relax while enjoying the tides and lobster boats from the balcony and screen room. John is a great host that’s very helpful, responsive and gave great details about the area. We’d absolutely stay again.

Overall we had a wonderful stay! The view is somehow better than the pictures! The washer/ dryer is 1/2 size and the “cold” washes as hot (at time of this review) so just keep that in mind if you are planning on a lot of laundry. It is about a 1 hour drive from the main part of Acadia but the drive is so easy and beautiful you don’t even care! The water John told us is filtered but slightly discolored. We had water filters with us for hiking so we went ahead and filtered it again just to get it all the way clear. Just something to keep in mind if you are picky about your water. The place was very clean. Actually more than I thought since we were there early season ( early June) and the house is in the woods. We killed a few spiders but that is to be expected overall very clean! The beds were also super comfortable! The Wi-Fi is good enough to look up something you need but not enough to do a lot else. We enjoyed the time to unplug. 100% would recommend this property!
