Dalston is a lovely village with lots of river walks and a cycle path that takes you into the centre of CARLISLE. It’s access is approx 100 yards from the square next to the primary school. Bus stops right outside and train station 5 min walk with trains running every hour to Carlisle. The lakes are easy access from us it’s approx 25 min drive to Bassenthwaite and Carrock fell is 15 min drive near Hesket Newmarket famous for its co-operative pub the old crown inn. It’s a great village with great amenities- chippy, coop, pharmacy, butchers, gift shop, and a great neighbourhood feel about the place

Parking in Dalston is all free and safe. The square sits opposite the flat and on street parking right outside. You can also find extra parking opposite the coop (also free) where there is an EV charge point here. Apart from school run time (3.15 - 3.45pm) there is ample FREE parking available. The keep clear space to the right of susie Bou is the entrance to a narrow archway to the flat block for a couple of mins to unload your luggage to the flat door then move your car save you walking with lots of bags. It’s the archway used less frequently and another access for the courtyard residents is available throughout.
