自我介绍

Sally my wife, and I have 8 children, and coming from opposite ends of the USA, we have found this area to be a most delightful combination of mild weather and incredible beauty. We are far enough south that our winters are quite mild, and we are high enough in the Blue Ridge Mountains that we do not get the extreme heat and humidity of the lower flat lands. I’m a former Southern California atheist turned Jesus Freak turned Hippie that met my wife – born and raised Old Order Amish- on her Amish farm in PA. And we’ve clung together for 42 years now, with no turning back. Ask while you visit here, and we’ll tell you our story over a glass of Sally's home made wine if you like. She loves gardening, due of course to her upbringing on the farm in an Amish family. And she sure knows what she is doing, and works the soil, motivating it to produce abundantly. I’m a wood worker, and have my own wood shop right here at home. I specialize in making wedding carriages for children which I ship all over the USA, and even internationally – all through online marketing. I have also gotten into making furniture out of old mountain Barn Boards, and likely will have some around for you to see while you are staying in our private cabin. Maybe I can even make you something (-: We will give you all the space and privacy you want and will not intrude – but if you would like to visit with us or get help figuring out where to go and what to do in this area, we do welcome that.
