This is the place. A place for quiet afternoons by the wood stove with the sound of rain falling in the garden. A place for walks through the meadow or into town to visit the general store or farmers market. A place for long nights and deep sleep with the sunrise to wake you. The yellow farmhouse is the place you go to reset. Becky has created a truly one of a kind retreat that shows the love and care of a her 10-year restoration. She let’s you see her artists view of the world through curated pieces that look more found than places and bits of history you won’t find in a sterile vacation rental. Communication was easy and quick. When car trouble delayed our arrival by a day, Becky ensured we were taken care of and generously adjusted our rate. The charms of a place like Petrolia are unrivaled. If you go, take them all in and be a part of the community you’re visiting. Farmers market in town. Pancake breakfast at the Grange. Whatever it might be, you won’t regret it.

What a beautiful, peaceful, well cared for farmhouse. This home was (re)built with love and it shows! We loved exploring the beach and river and coming home to this cozy house. The kitchen was spotless and provided every cooking utensil we could want. The beds were perfect and the woodstove was plenty to warm up the living space. Our son loved the "movie room" and feeding the friendly farm cats morning and evening. We are very grateful Becky offers up such a special place for others to enjoy. We will be back!

Becky's home is so charming. The garden and inside space is pretty magical and lovely to spend time in. We used it as a space for a larger group, and Becky was great about communicating with us ahead of time and being flexible with our varying needs! The house is gorgeous, and perfect for gathering. Note that it's a bit hard to find and maps takes you to the wrong house initially. Was perfect for us for a long weekend.

Becky’s home is artfully crafted and perfectly dialed in. It’s an oasis of flora and fauna that soothes the soul. We loved every second we spent there. Expect to encounter deer, cats, hummingbirds, and more. The house requires a little care, but it deserves every bit of effort and love, and that care brings joy.

The setting is idyllic. The house is a classic Victorian, interesting decor, lovely garden. Becky is friendly and welcoming, and the Petrolia area is a perfect gateway to the Lost Coast and the Mattole River.
