Pros: Amazing view, comfortable beds Cons: Broken TV (unusable after trying to fix it for 2 hours), ants all over the kitchen, pool was neon green and did not look right, no way to lock the full house (only the front door would lock but there wasn't away to lock the back sliding doors and the house doesn't have a safe), front door has a ripped screen, and downstairs shower has no water pressure. Also, there was no way to turn off the overhead lights but keep the fan on in one of the rooms. You NEED the fan at night because the house doesn't have AC but this would mean the overhead lights were on. We had to get creative and somehow reach the 10-12 foot ceilings to unscrew the lightbulbs. Overall, I'd probably recommend staying on the other side of the island (Cruz Bay).

the home is at the top of the mountain and is an exceptional location to get away from it all. however if you don't feel comfortable with rocky and very steep dirt roads it's not for you. still the view up there can't be beat. the pool was lovely. helle was a great communicator. we had some issues with ripped screens and a door that was hanging off the hinge and fell off when we tried to close it, and she was responsive to my messages and offered to send someone over, even though I told her fixing it could wait til we left as we didn't want anyone working there when we were on vacation. the screens could use a good wash down and underneath the furniture had clearly not been vacuumed in some time, but besides that it was a good stay. nice to have snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, and yoga mats.

There were a few minor glitches, but in general, we were very happy with the place. And the view was magnificent, cannot beat that!

Wingspan is an amazing home-and the view and the home exceeded our expectations. The house is spacious, the kitchen well-equipped, and the pool was lovely. The view and the balcony make it a truly unforgettable place. Helle was extremely helpful with information and very quick to respond, giving us some suggestions for a jeep rental (we recommend a jeep for the island) and places to eat close by.

The view!!! Living for a week with such an amazing view of Coral Bay, the Sir Francis Drake Channel and the BVI was something we will never forget and surely miss as we return home to normal life. My wife and I probably have 500 photos each of the view from the deck so it is absolutely the centerpoint of the home! The house is a beautiful structure and the sliding glass doors allow for that million dollar view from almost anywhere in the house. The breeze that comes up the hill from Coral Bay creates a very comfortable temp in the house, so A/C is not necessary or to be desired. The property is well maintained and has beautiful plants and trees throughout. This house is truly a gem at the top of the Callabash hillside! To be helpful for others looking to rent the home, I think it’s only fair to provide an honest assessment of the home so that others can decide if it’s the right place for their future stay. The only downside of this home is that while it has a million dollar view, the home is not high end living by any means. Artwork and paintings were all removed from the walls leaving an outline of where they once hung, the screens in the windows and doors appear to have been installed decades ago and many are torn, and the pool skimmer was in such poor shape that we could not clean the leaves and sand out of the pool during our stay. The queen mattresses in each of the master bedrooms offer little support and likely should be replaced, and the quality of the cleaning job prior to our check in was about a 5/10. The upside of all of this is that the current state of the home allows for regular folks like us to be able to rent such a place. If the owner were to make upgrades to the screens, decor, furniture and create more of a home like atmosphere this place could rent for 2.5x-3x the current listing price. For the price, you likely will not find a better home on St. John!
