Sugarloaf Madrone Studio is tucked into the slope of Sugarloaf Mountain, overlooking the 7 hills of Nevada City. It is a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk to downtown restaurants, arts, and nightlife. Despite its proximity, you will feel like you are in the country with pastoral views, local parks, and a quiet neighborhood. You will share the house with a totally separate apartment on the ground level. The Madrone Studio is great for rest, relaxation, and being close to nature. The studio occupies the upper level of the house with its own private entrance, well-stocked kitchen, bathroom, and beautiful outdoor space. There are no shared spaces, except the driveway. The studio has an open floor plan with partial straw bale wall construction, vaulted bamboo ceilings, a separate loft, and custom woodwork throughout. There are great views, lots of light, and privacy. We ask that guests remove their shoes when entering the house and observe quiet hours between 10PM and 8AM.
