We truly enjoyed our stay here! This house has the perfect authentic Costa Rican vibe! We are a family of 4, and this was the perfect size for us and even a family larger than ours. King size bed in the master and 2 queen beds in the kids room, plus a futon bed in the living room. Those reviews that said this house is small...I disagree with that. It is plenty big and more! The pool is soooo nice too! Watch out for crabs that wander into the pool though. We had to use the net to get a few out, but it was actually fun doing it LOL. The house is right on the beach, and we loved sitting on the patio listening to the waves. The beach here is black sand, which was neat. I will say though, that this is not exactly a "swimmable" beach. The waves are rough and high, and at high tide the waves come all the way up to the top. It is a GREAT beach for surfers though. It just is not really a family beach to build sand castles on. BUT, that's okay....just about a mile down is Playa Blanca which is a peaceful, tranquil, very swimmable beach with lovely tide pools. The sand there is thick, so that means the water is crystal clear like in the Bahamas. That's the cool thing about Costa Rica is that not all the beaches are the same. You just gotta know where to go. So if you stay here and don't care for the rough waves, then look up Playa Blanca on your GPS. You'll be there in 5-10 min. Oh, and another thing we LOVED about this house was Pablo. Who is Pablo? He is the cutest, friendliest, most beautiful, sweetest ever stray doggie. We learned from the owner that he is a friendly stray that often visits this home and the other homes in the area. Everyone caters to him and the whole beach is his home. He is a reddish colored medium sized doggie. Be nice to him, he is so sweet and harmless. One night it rained, and when we woke up, we found him laying on the porch sofa for shelter. And another day, we were gone and when we got back to the house, he heard us and ran up to us to greet us at the gate. We adored him so much, we wish we could have brought him home with us. Rent this home, you will love it!

En tiempos de pandemia fue un excelente lugar para relajarse sin preocuparse por las otras burbujas ya que es súper privado y alejado. La playa un poco revuelta en oleaje pero igual los niños pudieron nadar y divertirse. El pueblo más cercano para acceder a supermercado, farmacia, servicios automovilísticos , etc está a unos 10-15 minutos, mejor prever antes de llegar. La host es muy amable, nos fue de gran ayuda, hasta nos aviso de las tortugas, y se comunica bastante rápido, es clara a la hora de brindar la info e instrucciones (bastante completa guía). La casa y piscina hermosa, sin embargo, da una impresión que es más vieja que la de las fotos, la cocina y sala muy pequeñas, pero no son mayor problema. Cuidado con la vecina, no es nada amable, sus mascotas son hermosas pero se pasean en los alrededores y a ella no les gusta. El internet llega a ciertas zonas de la casa, pero está bien.
