While we usually try our best to avoid corporate managed properties, preferring instead to rent from privately owned homes, this place truly was an absolute gem and we are happy we booked. Gorgeous skylights looking up at the trees, very cool conversation pit in front of the wood burning stove, hot tub is in a perfect place, and you can ear the water from the river clearly. A true forest sanctuary that was exactly the kind of retreat we needed.

Everything was wonderful. The conversation pit, the fireplace, the scenery and fall foliage were all spectacular. Only thing was the wooden loveseat swing down by the creek in the picture was broken and rotted. I was really excited for this and wish we’d been informed sooner but there were other seats on the creek and the scenery made it easy to get over. Everything else was spot on. Cooked every night and felt very at home. Would absolutely stay here again.

While the location was lovely, the house did not live up to the listing and pricing. I have never left less than 5 stars before and I'm sad to do so now. All my husband wanted for his birthday getaway was a soak in the hottub. When we arrived, we turned up the temperature, but it never got past 85. We called and were told to wait longer. The next day, the issue continued and we texted for maintenance help. We were given generic troubleshooting tips and were finally told local service would contact us. They never did. After multiple follow ups, we still have yet to get a resolution. The home maintenance is of similar quality. There was a musty odor when we arrived, a broken stair that I tripped on, a piece of wood covering a hole in the wall that fell on my toddler, and in general it seems like it's tidied but not well maintained. This house is managed by a property management group checking off their response times but not actually providing resolutions.
