Not a vacation destination, but a great choice if visiting family or attending functions near by. Tons of room, quiet, safe, and very isolated location allows for total relaxation during your stay. If you have need for 2 or more bedrooms this is a far superior choice over local hotels for sure.

This was our fourth time staying at David's house and our stay was just as great as past trips. David is always a great host and always has the house clean and ready for guests. Looking forward to future trips here!

We couldn’t have asked for a better house to stay in during our visit to southern Indiana. The house is beautiful, it is spacious with rooms to be together or to spread out, and it is supplied with all the necessities. It is set above and overlooking the town in a beautiful, peaceful setting and the view from the deck is amazing. There are only some sounds from the town below, an occasional rooster, and the sound of the wind through the trees. The local cafe is just a couple minutes drive away. And the host is responsive and helpful. We would definitely love to visit again.

Very comfortable home with plenty of room for our family of 5. My 15 yr old son liked the basement bedroom because it was a little secluded. My husband and I are in our early 50s, the style of the house with some of the fixtures and a lot of the furniture was very much like what we remember from our grandparents' homes when we were kids. Everything is well maintained and the house was welcoming. Side note that there were 2 tornados sirens one morning and the basement has a laundry/storage area with 3 walls of concrete. We felt safe there, luckily no tornadoes!! If you are looking for a place in Marengo I highly recommend this home. We met one of the neighbors while walking who referred to the home as "the manor."

Beautiful, retro house and furnishings, very welcoming. We played board games, watched 80s movies and enjoyed the wildlife viewing with the morning sunrise. This was the perfect winter get away for our family.
