Great, cozy cabin/cottage for a stay in the Erwin area. Everything you need for a comfortable stay, even off season with the great gas fireplace. Lots to explore in the area with a lot of hikes in the close vicinity.

We stayed at Mountain Retreat for 3 months and it was an incredible experience. The location is absolutely amazing. It feels like a cabin getaway, yet it's in a very very nice neighborhood with lots of beautiful trees, great walking and gorgeous mountain scenery. It couldn't be easier to get to, a two minute drive to downtown Erwin and five minutes to I-26. Inside is quaint, charming and has everything you could need. The yard and courtyard allow for peaceful outdoor recreation and relaxation. The upstairs has a nice balcony that you can be eye to eye with all the birds here such as Cardinals and Carolina Wrens. Mike keeps the place in tip top shape. He is an excellent communicator. Every little comfort is thought of ahead of time. Plus the nearby hiking is world class and never crowded. We we to Johnson City often, only 20 minutes away and Asheville on the weekends, only 45 minutes away.

Outstanding location. Everything you need to live well. I worked from here for several months and found the internet and the house had everything to be very comfortable and peaceful.
