We' ve had a great time in Monks Retreat. Pamela was very helpful. Exellent,quiet location with great views! Cottage was suitable for our needs. We had an access to loundry room,where we could dry our wet from rain coats. Highly recommended place and host. Thank you so much.

Loved our stay here, enjoyed watching the birds from the window and would have really liked to sit out in the gorgeous gardens but it was a bit too cold!

What a wonderful place to spend the weekend! The cottage exceeded expectations - it was much more spacious than we expected, it was warm, homely and clean and the cookies on the welcome tray were to die for! Pamela popped in on our first day to check all was ok. The directions of walks from the cottage were outstanding: so detailed and thorough. Thank you!

V nice stay. Hosts were super nice and the area beautiful. V close to lovley walks, even form their own farm. Pub a 5 min walk away too!

I can’t recommend Pamela’s place highly enough. If you are looking for a cosy and relaxing place to stay in the Peak District this is it! There are so many walks accessible right from the door and the space itself is very clean and comfortable! We appreciated the biscuits and tea/coffee/milk that Pamela left for us upon arrival and the games, books, and toys available! We hope to visit again soon!
