We spent a lovely two nights at the villa. It has a beautiful and relaxing garden. Great pool. Harsha the cook/care taker was excellent!

We had a great holiday in Unawatuna. The house and garden are stunning - the pool is excellent and the rooms are very comfortable. The housekeeper Harsha is a gem - he can cook wonderful curries, roti, paratha and was so keen to show off the tremendous local (from the garden) fruit and vegetables - superb jackfruit curry on our last night. He was willing to help with everything - even going into Galle to buy a replacement phone charger for me when mine broke! Wasantha the gardener also deserves a shout for keeping the garden so beautiful. Only slight downside was that the two bedrooms downstairs are actually slightly separate from the house. This means that putting the children in those rooms wasn’t something we were comfortable with and instead we made beds up for them in the huge master suite. It was absolutely fine as that room is massive but it isn’t made clear in the listing that this is the case.

A beautiful and idyllic house surrounded by the most charming garden. From the moment we arrived, Harsha made us feel so welcome and looked after. We were treated to the most delicious and spoiling Sri Lankan food each night and freshly baked bread in the morning. The pool is ideal and with 2 young children, it is far enough from the house that we never had any worries. A short tuk tuk ride from Unwatuna and close enough for trips to Galle. This place is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful stay but close enough to the hustle and bustle of Unawatuna. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the villa was amazing. The house is carefully decorated and it looks even better than in the pictures. The surroundings are breathtaking. Special mention to the takecarer Harsha for being so kind and for his amazing cooking skills. You only must be aware that the beach is not walking distance, but reachable in 10min with tuk tuk.

Truly marvelous place. A haven of serenity in the bustling southern beach area of Sri Lanka. This 1920s art deco villa is a tad quirky but infinitely charming, and the renovations and decor are chic but not stuffy. Harsha was a fabulous on-site asset, providing exceptional hospitality and service. Breakfast was simple but hearty and included as part of the stay. For the cost of groceries, he also made us two delicious dinners of Sri Lankan curry and coconut standards. Beds and built-in lounging couches were comfy and loaded with pillows. The staff kept the house, lovely gardens, and pool area in tip-top shape. We loved hanging out in the pool pavilion, playing cards, and enjoying the evening breeze. We spied purple-faced langur moneys from there — swinging through the palms searching for jackfruit to steal. Local birds, butterflies and dragonflies flit in and out. We loved every minute!
