Enjoy all the comforts of home, in a private farm cabin just 5 miles outside San Ignacio town. Bedroom has A/C. Two beds available. This is one of three rentals on the property. https://www.airbnb.com/users/23499058/listings/ This cozy two-floor cabin has one air-conditioned bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and a twin size bed downstairs for extra guests. It also has a full bathroom downstairs. Note that the A/C is only in the upstairs bedroom, accessed through the spiral wooden staircase. We provide all essentials, including toiletries, bath tissue, towels, linens, etc. We provide plenty of extra towels if you plan to take a dip in the river, which is just outside your doorstep. While enjoying the pristine Mopan River, take advantage of our picnic area and throw some hamburgers on the grill, or even bake some pizza in our outdoor brick oven!

We stayed for one week and loved the thoughtful touches throughout the home. Everything we needed we had, from tons of towels, to lots of hooks, to comfy beds, to restful hammocks. Alina was a kind and thoughtful host. She out out extra cooking materials at the pizza oven area for us. We loved the River. It’s pure magic and we had a fun time swimming every day in its refreshing waters. One of our favorite parts was Marlin who lives and works there. He and our family connected and learned a lot about Belize from him. Overall, a wonderful stay.
A quirky and clean home on the Mopan River. Aliana’s cabin/home is a delightful merger between a Belizean cottage and French farmhouse. Small, quaint, and complete with all necessary items for a 1-2 week vacation. Aliana and her groundskeeper (Marlowe) were both very gracious and available for any needs. In our case, the batteries needed to be replaced on the A/C remote (we received help right away). The adjacent river is beautiful and clean. Our entire family (2 adults/2 children) loved playing in the waters. The grounds and other cabins/cottages are impeccably maintained and well-spaced so that we never felt cramped by other guests/families.
My stay was absolutely the most peaceful experience. Her grounds were pristine enjoyed everything about Alianas. The mattress was so comfortable. The river being right on the grounds with a grill and pizza oven made this stay great for outdoor dining with fun. I’d definitely stay here again!
Lovely stay outside of San Ignacio but still within a short drive to San Ignacio. The place is cute, main bedroom downstairs and loft upstairs. A/C units in both bedrooms work well (only fans/windows in living room), although we didn’t need it all the time because the weather was nice and fans worked well. Beds were comfortable. The stairs to the loft can be a bit tricky for those with mobility issues. The grounds are very well maintained and access to the river is great. Plenty of towels for outdoor water activities. Bathroom’s a bit small but had everything and hot water worked well. Hosts and groundskeeper very receptive and friendly. One outdoor hammock with this unit and an outside table for 2, but wooden seats are bit uncomfortable to hang out for a long time. There are mosquitos but to be expected and not terrible. The dirt road to the property def has potholes but we managed well with an AWD Kia.
A sweet place to stay. Inside - a great kitchen, lots of pillows, comfortable. Lovely outside!

We are in the rural area outside of San Ignacio town. The drive does not take more than around 15 minutes from downtown, but it can feel a bit farther.
Please review the location carefully on the map to see the proximity from town. If close proximity to San Ignacio town proper is important, this may not be the place for you unless you have a rental car. If you want a private and relaxing area with most of the comforts of home, but still be close enough to get to town quickly, this is the perfect place for you.
We are located just under 5 miles from downtown San Ignacio, between the villages of Santa Familia and Bullet Tree Falls. We are off the main road from San Ignacio, making us easily accessible by taxi, bus, or your personal vehicle. Taxi service is always available from San Ignacio, and regular bus service is available from 5am to 5pm. Bus stops are not designated, which means the bus stops at the gate of the property. If you book tours, most companies also offer pickup service if you make prior arrangements with them.

We are a retired couple from San Ignacio Town here in Belize. We developed the property as a family retreat over the years and named it after our first granddaughter, Aliana. We enjoy traveling and spending time with our kids and grandkids. We also enjoy hosting guests from all over the world and sharing our small slice of paradise with them.
