The cabin is pristine and beautiful. It is artsy, but approachable and inviting. The abundance of natural light, artwork, comfortable furniture, entertainment options, stocked kitchen, heated master bath floors, outdoor seating options and design aesthetic, the smell of the herb garden, sound of the wind chimes, and morning song of the birds all combine to create an extraordinary vacation rental experience. While I could have stayed in the cabin and enjoyed my books and the view, it was also the perfect location for outdoor adventures. During our stay we enjoyed a day at Grandfather Mountain (loved the Grandfather trail), hiked from Carver's Gap up through all of the Roan Mountain Highlands, toured the Linville Caverns, hiked to Linville Falls, rode an Alpine Coaster in Banner Elk, and enjoyed delicious pastries and coffee at Penland Coffee House (perfect vanilla matcha latte). Lisa's cabin was perfect for our Spring Break adventures and I would not hesitate to book it again!

I don’t have access since it’s your Airbnb accnt but you can post this: This is truly the best air Bnb we have ever stayed in. The combination of all of the amenities (knives are truly sharp for cooking!), the comfortable and stylish furniture, and the beautiful view are unbeatable. It has the perfect balance of feeling like a personal and well curated space while being open to new guests. This is not a stale and impersonal place! Cannot recommend higher. We hope to return soon.

This cabin was absolutely what we were looking for. The location alone is beautiful but when you walk inside you feel like you stepped into a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired mid-century vacation home away from it all but close enough to several activities and eats. The views are nothing but picturesque for the area. At night you have the stars and Milky Way right over head (there is a Dark Sky Park close by as well), and in the morning you have the sound of birds from every direction and during the day there is natural daylight everywhere. The kitchen is well equipped with all high end appliances and cookware for any home chef to enjoy while all the spaces including furniture, beds, master bath etc were all comfortable and relaxing. During our 3 days there we were able to hike the balds from Carver's gap, enjoy Grandfather vinyard and winery, ride an Alpine Coaster, hike McRea peak at Grandfather Mountain, and enjoy coffee at Penland School of Craft, less than 2 miles up the road. ;)

If you are looking for peace and stunning views this is the place. By far the best Airbnb we stayed in the area. The description was accurate and and far more. We fell right at home. Location is private and quiet yet short drive to town. You can really rest in this place. The sunsets and sunrises were breathtaking. Our daughters (9 and 11) loved exploring around the property. They even saw a deer and bunnies. Owner is excellent with communication. Home is well equipped. Gas stove is a plus. Loved the heated floors in the bathroom. Will definitely come back soon.

This was our fourth time staying here, just book it, you will love it! The house is serene, tastefully decorated with works by local artists. The view is extraordinary and changes throughout the day as the sun moves across the sky. The beds are great, memory foam toppers on California king mattresses, great sheets, and medium firm pillows. The jacuzzi bathtub is heavenly. The kitchen is well appointed with pots & pans, sharp knives, and other items to make it easy to cook for a family. Raised up above a quiet dirt road, and surrounded by a low hedge, the place is peaceful and private. Walk a hilly and curvy but gorgeous 1.5 miles to the Penland School for Crafts and its impressive gallery of works by their faculty and students. Or hop in the car and explore the plucky old train town of Spruce Pine, which feels like stepping back in time even as it searches to reimagine itself in the 21st century. Staying here makes up for every disappointing AirBnB and hotel experience we've had.
