We thought it was more private than it was, pictures made it seem like there was a view but since the pics were taken we think a yurt rental went in next door and that was our view. Nice cabins, small but cozy. Off a very busy road that you can hear but otherwise nice.

Een vriendelijk en heel prettig ingericht huisje op een top locatie. Wat leuk dat er bloemetje stonden. Het is er heel rustig, er lopen wat konijnen en er is een superlieve hond en over het huisje is heel goed nagedacht, je vindt er alles wat je nodig hebt. We zijn ‘s avonds naar de geiser en de waterval gegaan, heerlijk rustig!

This is a tiny cosy cabin suitable for a family of 4 (with a sleeping loft for the kids accessed by a ladder). The kitchen is small but very adequate for making simple meals. The cabin is in a great location from which you can easily get to Thingvellir. Gullfoss is less than 10 mins away; Geysir less than 5 mins away; Bruarfoss less than 20 mins away. Ella, the manager of the property, was so friendly!

We stayed three nights and it was a perfect place for a family of four. My children loved the loft and wanted to always “go home” to play up there rather than see the many sights nearby. You can see Strokkur Geysir from the cottage windows in the distance. Gullfoss is close in the other direction, Thingvellir within an hour drive. The small kitchen made it possible to cook meals, and if you stay, definitely take advantage of being on a horse farm and also arrange to go for a ride.
