Lynne's warm & spacious pretty cottage, is full of beautiful touches to soothe both body & soul. The kitchen is very well equipped for family fun including weighing scales, pizza & muffin trays. Plentiful supply of hot water and good flow. Huge range of games and books for all ages. Lovely al fresco dining area to the rear. Very peaceful. Dog walks right from the door. Things we would recommend to do whilst staying here include: Kelso swimming pool - swim disco's, kids huge inflatable fun. Cycle (approx 30 mins) to The Hirsel Estate - lovely woodland and lakeside walks, free museum & small play area, craft shops & cafe. Edinburgh day trip ex Berwick on Tweed - The Dungeons were fantastic! Cobbles Restaurant, Kelso - full at 6.30pm and delicious food. Book early! Cross Keys, Kelso - free live music. 'Edins Hall Broch' walk, approx 2.5 hrs. Beautiful and very interesting. See 'Scottish Borders favourite walks' book in the lounge. Kayaking the River Tweed ex Etal.

All I would say is book it, for a couple or family it great

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Lynne's place. The beds and sofas were so comfy and we had everything we could possibly need for a short break. The location was beautiful and peaceful. We would love to return in better weather to enjoy the huge garden. We were quite unlucky with the weather but still found plenty to see and do in the area within driving distance. We would recommend visiting Dunns, Coldstream, Berwick and Kelso.
