This cottage would be charming if given a deep clean and with some thought to the comfort of guests. It is a thatched cottage with great historic features. However, the heating did not work on the first night of our stay, leaving us freezing and forced to wear extra clothes in bed. The exterior of the house should be swept and kept clear of dirt and debris. We felt the interior was dusty with stained carpets and hairs on some furnishings. We did try to work with the host to get the bedrooms heated but their communication appeared to blame us for the fact the house was not a comfortable temperature. Finally, it would be nice for the host to have stocked some basic items like a dish sponge, rubbish bags, and salt.
