What an amazing place to stay - so beautiful, both the home itself which was so lovely and also the surroundings which were perfect - right on the canal, nestled in woods and with the hill right out back. We all felt so at home, and didn't want to leave (including our two dogs, who had a great time in the garden here)! Everything was so comfortable, and our host Sarah went above and beyond to make sure that we were all having a great stay, even leaving some delicious local food for us in the kitchen - plus some home-baked cookies! Sarah was always available if we needed anything, so responsive and really looked after us. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Great house, great setting, great comms from Sarah the host who left a bag of goodies for us including homemade Easter nests. The children were thrilled. We had a short stay and it was the perfect get away for our family and dog. Worth saying that it is so nice to have a dog- friendly house that isn't 'doggy'. We used the canoe and cycled the tow path. Was a delightful little break and we would love to come back. Thank you for having us.

We loved our stay at Wharfinger Cottage. The cottage has everything that we needed and more for a wonderful stay. Such a relaxing place and we loved watching the boats and ducks go by.

This place is wonderful. So picturesque with very interesting history and great hiking. The building itself has everything and we enjoyed cooking on the Aga. Host Sarah was super welcoming and responsive. Can’t wait to go back.
