Morehouse is a historic property, one of the oldest in the village dating back to 1628. It served as shop for 250 years right up until the 1930’s and we believe that the room we are offering was once the old storeroom. You will have your own front door but please note that there are 3 steps down into the room so it is not suitable for anybody with mobility issues. Morehouse is a very old and quirky house. However, the bedroom we are offering feels more contemporary offering a bright, sunny but cosy space. Perfect for an overnight stay. There is a Tassimo machine in the room so you can enjoy coffee and hot chocolate. A great selection of tea bags and a kettle will satisfy your needs for a cuppa. We have provided a mini fridge stocked with fresh milk and oat milk. A simple breakfast of orange/apple juice, coffee and tea, a variety of cereals and wrapped croissant or pain au chocolate is provided in the room. However, if you would like a cooked breakfast the Kings Arms, which is around 60 yards away, serves a full English breakfast until 11:30am prices starting at £5.99. You will have your own outdoor table and chairs but are welcome to sit in any part of the garden especially our sun-trap courtyard. We would ask that you kindly keep all garden gates shut as we have a dog with no road sense!

‘The Storeroom’ at Morehouse is delightful! A quaint historic building - a really lovely place to stay, with great attention to detail. Breakfast including fruit juices, cereals, croissants & fruit was a perfect start to the day! Would not hesitate to recommend booking this accommodation.
Lo Storeroom di Katie é davvero delizioso, fornito, e incastonato in un giardino bellissimo, si vede la passione di Katie per le piante. Posto tranquillo, abbiamo dormito benissimo! Il check-in é stato autonomo e senza intoppi, avevamo tutte le informazioni necessarie, abbiamo incontrato Katie per il check-out, davvero un host disponibile e cordiale. Consigliato!
Absolutely perfect little place to stay, quirky, characterful, clean, warm, cosy and such friendly hosts. Also had a lovely cuddle with Jack the sausage dog which made my morning. Tea, coffee and croissants provided and a little fridge with fresh milk and oat milk. Don't hesitate to book this little gem. 😍
I am really thankful for Katie and her family’ s help specially Jack! Jon was really friendly to introduce the aged and elegant house and helped us to find the key, nice restaurant and let us make friend with Jack which is so cute and wonderful dog! Although just have short sentence with Katie, can feel how kind and nice of this beautiful and wonderful woman she is. It is really nice and perfect house with an unbelievable garden and so wonderful host!I strongly recommend people who want to discover Bexhill to book this house! Not far from the Bexhill ! Really clean, cozy and charming! Hope i have a chance to live in again!
We had a short but wonderful stay. In a gorgeous little space, we felt very safe and comfortable in the room. The coffee machine and croissants were also very appreciated in the morning! Thank you for a lovely stay, we'd definitely return and recommend! 🩷
