Lovely en-suite room in a large farm house just outside of Monmouth. The house is set on a hill with outstanding views and own woodland and open fields. Amazing walks set between Monmouth and the Forest of Dean. The Welsh Farmhouse is within easy reach of M4 & M5. The room comes with a newly built ensuite bedroom, kingsize bed, and fresh towels and linens . If you are a party of four I have another listing for the other ensuite bedroom. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Brilliant for walking, Offas Dyke, riding horses, mountain biking, golfing and fishing. We welcome bikers as the roads around this area are fun to ride. The Wye Valley offers a huge amount to do and there are lots of lovely places to visit, places to eat and general places to have a lot of fun. Cardiff is within easy reach as is Cheltenham and Bath. Both places have racecourses. The farm itself is not a working farm, but we do have a range of animals that are part of the family. We have four very friendly pigs, four alpacas, three cows and chickens. We also have 5 dogs (border terriers), these are in the house and the garden so please be aware that they are about. They will get excited when they see new visitors, but they soon calm down!

Beautiful location, close to Monmouth. Lovely room in a large house. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of selection. Hosts were lovely.

Beautiful location, house and room. Lovely warm welcome, glass of wine and a sit around the fire pit followed by a great sleep in a beautiful room, comfortable bed and en suite shower and toilet. Peaceful and scenic, sat having breakfast,looking out over the countryside, the alpacas and pony. Would highly recommend for a lovely break in this beautiful part of the Wye valley. Our hosts were welcoming, helpful and very informative. Beautiful farmhouse and lovely views. Will go back for a longer stay. Couldn't rate highly enough.

Such a lovely room, we were really comfortable and it felt like a proper treat to stay there. Lizzie and Pete made us feel very welcome and went the extra mile making us a reservation and taking us to and from the pub for dinner - hugely appreciated. Despite the amount we ate at the pub the night before, Lizzie's breakfast was irresistible! A beautiful setting, perfect for walkers coming off the Offa's Dyke Trail or Wye Valley Walk. We would definitely stay again and heartily recommend Beaulieu Farm.

There is a good pub up the road in Staunton which does good food and also the Miners Arms in Sling with does a very good and reasonably priced Sunday Lunch. Monmouth has some lovely shops and also a very good Italian Restaurant but you need to book as it is very popular. Further afield you have Raglan Castle which is a good day out and children can climb on the castle walls.

Unfortunately we are too far out for a regular bus service and the train station is 7 miles away so you do need your own vehicle. This can be parked safely on the property. Motorbikes can be locked away for the night.
