Enjoy the natural beauty and peaceful environment of the Hazel River while camping in a luxurious air conditioned and heated 16x16 Bell tent. We bought this property while raising our children so they could enjoy all that nature has to offer. It has always been our desire to share the peace and tranquility the land has bought our family and friends over the years. We are currently semi-retired and now have the time for others to come and experience the property as we have all these years. The tent is situated right on the rivers edge in a secluded private wooded area. Our house is just up the hill if our guest need anything during their stay. This campsite encompasses one acre of our land that borders the river. Guest are free to explore the other nine acres of our property which includes a nature trail and trout pond. The tent is equipped with an air conditioning and heat pump unit, a queen size comfortable memory foam bed, futon couch, coffee station and night time chamber pot. It's important to note there is a limit to the ability of the heat pump to heat the tent comfortably below 45 degrees outdoor temperature. There is a true flushing toilet in the off-grid bathroom near the tent. There is also a full outside bathhouse with hot shower within a short hike up from the river. Bring your own towels or for a small fee we will provide you with towels. There is no cell service at the tent. There is however wifi available around the pond area. This campsite comes alive at night under the stars by the fire. Enjoy the sound of the rivers gentle flow over the rocks while relaxing on the hammock. The outdoor kitchen has a propane stove and gas grill. Other kitchen amenities include: - Pots & pan - Knives - Cutting boards - Pasta strainer - Plates, bowls, and cups - Cooking and eating utensils - Dish towels & wash towels - Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate - Creamer and sugar - Wine opener - Lighters - Potable water (two five gallon containers) *Please note that there is no refrigeration but a ice filled Yeti cooler is provided Firewood is provided. ********************************** To access the campsite guests can park in the river tent lot and then take a 150-yard walk down an increasingly steep slope to reach the campsite. Please note that the hill may be challenging for those with mobility issues. We will help you get your belongings down to the site. The camp site is located on the part of our land that borders the river. Although the campsite is private, please be mindful of our neighbors and avoid crossing property lines. Other things to note Escape to our little oasis for a chance to unplug and unwind. But please note that while there is electricity it needs to be managed. You will need to turn off the air conditioner/heat before making coffee. There is no cell service at the camping spot however there is a designated spot on the land for booster cell service. It is recommended that you purchase groceries before check-in as we are located about 20 minutes from town. However, a small country store is just 10 minutes from our home sells basic food necessities, ice, beer, and wine.
