This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Welcome to The Prom Queen on Beautiful Lake Monroe in Historic Downtown Sanford, Florida. We are super excited that you choose our beautiful Houseboat for your vacation. This Houseboat boasts 2 bedrooms, and one and half bathrooms. The Prom Queen boast 1850 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space. There are three deck spaces, and an outdoor table that seats six with a gas grill to enjoy our beautiful Florida sunsets. 2 bedrooms, one is a queen bedroom, with a closet, drawers, private half bath access, Roku television, and private outdoor deck seating area. Second bedroom is with a full size bedroom with a closet. There are two bathrooms, one is a full bathroom across the hall from the second bedroom. The second bathroom is a half bath. There is a full size kitchen, with a cooktop range, full size fridge, fridge Ice maker, a wet bar with a mini fridge, and a small dining table. Next there is a comfortable full size couch with You-tube TV featuring the NFL Sunday ticket. Please note this is a Stationary boat only. Lastly, please note the boat is treated frequently for ants and other critters, but with a River boat at times there can be ant’s especially if food is left out on the counters or sink area. To help minimize ants please keep food in the refrigerator, and you can always contact our co-host Jill to take care of any issues. Please note the main bathroom toilet there is a button to flush the toilet(don’t use the handle) in the half bathroom use the handle but push the handle forward. Both toilets use natural lake water so the water will be brownish.

We had a wonderful weekend on the Prom Queen. So relaxing and loved the proximity to downtown Sanford.
If you just want a quick getaway from the cooler, northern states, consider booking a weekend at this beautiful, very well kept and modern houseboat! we had so much relaxation just on the boat itself! Top deck! Thank you so much for sharing this awesome place!
Very responsive host. Great location and walking distance to town for restaurants and shops. 2nd floor deck is very peaceful with the breeze overlooking the water. A very relaxing place!
Loved our getaway on The Prom Queen!! Had such a relaxing time! Jill came down when we arrived to go over details and was so attentive later when we had more questions. Participating in nearby soccer games and celebrating a birthday, we 3 adults had lots of room and were very comfortable. With 3 different decks, we chatted & drank coffee while watching sunrises, took naps, grilled out on the front deck and had a great meal there. The large screen tv was great for our football games. We also walked to fun restaurants & bars. It was just what we all needed! Thanks Jill. Be aware that there is a stove top & a toaster oven, but not a big oven (so don’t plan to roast a Turkey there)! Would love to return!! Thanks again!
This was our first time staying on a houseboat and it was a great experience for us. We weren’t in Sanford for a vacation and it was so much more enjoyable than staying in a hotel room. We enjoyed the relaxing outdoor living spaces. The commodes could use some work but otherwise a very nice space for the two of us to spend 4 days. Thanks!

You will love this unique nautical experience located in Historic Downtown Sanford. You are one block walking distance to downtown restaurants, coffee shops, wineries, micro breweries, cigar lounges, night life, and monthly food truck events. There is also two local treaters which host great productions to enjoy. The marina also has boat rentals, and the new Cabana live is 3 miles away. Foxtail coffee with world famous Kelly’s Ice creme opened up on Sanford Ave which is a 5-10 minute walk.
Guests are able to walk to most events around Sanford, otherwise we are close to 1-4 and 417 to get to anywhere in central Florida. New Symrna Beach is a 30 minute drive. Disney and Universal are less than an hour drive..The Sanford airport is 3 miles away and Orlando airport is 21 miles away.
