We had a fabulous weekend here with friends celebrating our birthdays. Late October and plenty of rain, but the bad weather didn’t dampen our time - Di provided us with plenty of wood to keep the fire going, and the huts are kept toasty thanks to the wood burners. We didn’t feel that the walk to the fridge/toilet was an issue, it’s about 20 seconds. The activities were really fun and Di is a great host - very welcoming and informative. Would 100% recommend

A wonderful site, so cute and we loved our family getaway. Downsides- the fridge and toilet are not within the campsite. Whilst not far away, you have to go round by the main house to get your milk or visit the loo which wasn’t ideal. Only one of the tipis has off the floor beds, I was under the impression they all had beds. We had to sleep on those fold out cushions which are small and not very comfortable. The road nearby can get surprisingly noisy. Not enough pans for cooking. Positives- Di is wonderful, a lovely lady who cares and I couldn’t fault her at all. She made our trip even better! The sheep, dog and chickens who come to visit are adorable! The fires in the tipis really warm you up and they hold the heat. The site itself is lovely. The activities were really informative and enjoyable. We did fire starting and foraging and both were great. A big up to Paul Dore! Stoves are in two tipis and the dining room area, as well as an open fire around the social area.

Thank you so much to Di for making my hen party so incredible! The farm is beautiful and our area for the weekend had everything we could have wanted - well supplied kitchen, indoor and outdoor chilling areas and amazing tipis with super comfy futon beds. For our activities, we did archery and foraging (aka Huntress Gatheress!) - Di was so knowledgeable and such a great teacher and the activities really added that extra bit of special to the weekend! Absolutely amazing time - we had sunshine the whole weekend and even managed to see shooting stars!

What an amazing weekend we had, the perfect spot for my hen do! Di was a great host with our activities and very thorough with the information on our foraging walk. Would highly recommend for any weekend away!

Such a fun laid back venue that you put all the extra fun in to! All the basics provided. The setting is just gorgeous - surrounded by fields, animals and half an hour from York centre. Flower crown making was fun and the forage was hilarious … quote from our guide ‘never had such a rowdy group’ so I guess you can take the girls out of Newcastle but the Toon always stays in us! Thanks Di - you have been fab throughout!! BELLFEST 2022 🌸
