Welcome to Ruth's House. Whether you are here on business, for a Bethel conference or just traveling through, this home is the perfect landing spot for you! We are located just outside of downtown Redding and on the 299 route to the Coast. Whiskeytown Lake is only 6 miles away and is a wonderful place to go swimming, This property has two doors, 1 to the garage and the other to a separate room. but you are closed you will not have entry access to the place you are reserving Beautiful clean room, closet doors with mirror, a night table without a drawer, ceiling lamp and individual air conditioning as shown in the photos. Large living room with TV, sofa. Spacious kitchen connected to the dining room to share a delicious breakfast or dinner. A very clean and spacious house. Instructions for keys and entrance were very straightforward. Appliances are all in good working order and plates and utensils were clean. Bathroom door does not work.
Ruth was amazing and the location is perfect if you want to go out to down town Ubers are cheap to get back to the house and the location is so peaceful!
Seemed like another house was connected by a door that wasn’t locked and just had a small planter in front of it. Also sounded like people were in the garage below the house. Could hear people talking until late at night.

Ruth's House is located in the Mary Lake subdivision of Redding. Less than a mile away there is a small lake with a walking trail that goes around it. Many residents go out for walks during the day, or for a bike ride. The area is generally safe for being outside day and night. The neighborhood is home to small, middle class families, many of whom work in the nearby hospitals.
Redding is a small city but the homes and businesses are typically separated by landscape and trees. When visiting Redding, it is best to have a vehicle to get around. There are two nearby grocery stores and a few restaurants. We are also located close to walking trails and a National Park.
