Cosy dining, large corner sofa & a brand new kitchen The Old Gatehouse was built in 1860 and has been fully renovated to offer you a beautiful holiday retreat. Set in a lovely Lincolnshire Wolds village, beautiful walks on the door step to the Ancient Woods and picturesque waterside walks to the pub. 5 mins drive to Louth, and 20 mins from Cadwell Park. 2 parking spaces & more oversized parking available for trailers on request Dog friendly Our lovely cottage has been fully renovated There are 2 double bedrooms and a cosy single bedroom Unfortunately we do not provide cots for babies or high chairs, but the cottage is child friendly with a secure garden. One of your neighbours is Betty the sheep who is partial to the odd apple and carrot If you are keen tennis players, the host can arrange a private court for your use, within walking distance Maximum of 2 well behaved dogs

Gorgeous place, great location. Well equipped. Some road noise but not too intrusive.
Just had a lovely relaxing few days stay. Home was peaceful and beautifully decorated and clean. Comfortable and spacious. Perfect location for visiting family and a lovely safe garden for my dogs.
We had a lovely stay at the Gatehouse. It is much larger than the photos suggest and we were more than pleasantly surprised. The enclosed garden was great for our dogs, although they were generally so worn out after a day's walking that they just went to sleep in their baskets in the house! The location is lovely, Legbourne village is pretty and there are walks straight from the village. It was also very handy for Louth and heading to the coast. The whole property has a really modern feel and was spotlessly clean. Veanndra provided lots of information about the property and local area prior to our stay. Check in was easy and straightforward. Thank you Ve for providing us with a lovely place to stay for our short break in Lincolnshire.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely village. All the comforts of home for us and our dog. Communication with Veanndra was great and we had all the essentials we needed (plus a little extra treat). Would definitely recommend this property

Legbourne has a friendly village shop selling sandwiches, fresh bread, wine and most things you would need.
The Queens Head pub do amazing fish and chips and a delicious Sunday lunch.
The Splash (The Royal Oak) pub is accessed by walking down past the fjord / stream and serve amazing food, they have a lovely children’s play area too and seating outside in the sunshine.
Children play in the village stream in the summer and the village is very popular with ramblers, bikers and walkers
Louth is a few minutes away with an abundance of restaurants, cocktail bars, local produce market, cinema, theatre, leisure centre and a thriving high street. Takeaways and taxis are available too.
Hubbards Hills is a popular local place for walks, picnics and paddling
Kenwick Spa is 2 minutes drive away and is the prefect place for a spa day, swim or a pamper treatment.
We are 20 minutes ish from Mablethorpe, Sandilands beach and a little further along you have the stunning Huttoft beach.
Parking for 2 vehicles at the rear of the cottage.
If you need additional parking for bikes, trailers, racing cars for Cadwell Park, this can be arranged within the grounds next to the cottage
