The house was spacious with plenty of beds and room to spread out. There were 13 of us and we had plenty of room. The kids loved the game room. We enjoyed coconuts and avacados from the trees out back. Really liked the large dining room for eating in. Not a bad location for getting to Hilo, waterfalls and Volcanos National Park.

Our stay: There were some unexpected maintenance things that came up, but Joy and her husband handled it quickly and accommodated our needs. Pros: The house is great for a large family and has many activities for elementary-older children (games, playground, lots of space to run around). Cons: Was a little confusing to get there, definitely follow Joy's instructions on how to get to the house (NOT a Maps app!). The downstairs shower and living area was a little dusty/dirty, and didn't have shampoo/conditioner/soap for downstairs bathroom and shower... but upstairs was fine, which is where we all showered. Some kitchen equipment and materials were dirty upon arrival. Overall good stay, and the cleanliness issue may have just been a one-time thing and can easily be addressed.

Joy's place is awesome. Perfect spot for my wife and kids to spend a few days in and see the Volcano National Park. It was private, matched all the photos, and the scenery was amazing! Joy was very easy to work with, and we would definitely do it again.

Absolutely loved this place. Clean and beautifully furnished. Loved all the amenities. Joy was so great to work with. Very clear instructions. she went above and beyond. Any little question we had she was happy to answer. Helped us out with dining suggestions and local activities. Such a great place for our large family. So many things to do whether you're 1 year old or 60 years old. We definitely will be back. We strongly recommend this place for anyone with family and/or kids. It's very quiet yet close to everything. Tons of natural light yet it's in a jungle setting. This place is a real gem. Thank you so much!!!

We had the greatest time staying here! The game rooms were such a fun way to spend our nights after swimming or hiking all day. The property is green and gorgeous, we loved looking at all the different fruit trees and flowers. Great place to stay, close to Hilo and there was more than enough room for our big family.
