Bula, I'm Jolame, born and raised in Paradise! I would like to invite you to my homestay directly by the beach on the beautiful Wayasewa island, located at the southern tip of the Yasawas. We've been hosting guests since a few years to experience the real Fijian culture! Just leave the confines of a resort and live with us in order to get involved in the village life and daily activities... Come and stay with our family house in a tidy and clean PRIVATE ROOM FEW STEPS TO AN IDYLLIC BEACH! There are way more beaches than streets on our island and more coconut trees than worries! Our simple but comfortable house is located few steps to a white sandy wonderful beach! YOUR PRIVATE ROOM is equipped with a double bed , SHARED bathroom with cold refreshing mountain spring water-shower is shared with other guests. One of the highlights of our homestay is the breathtaking long white sandy beach just steps away from our front door! We use solar panels with a battery that allows us to use electricity 24 hours a day for charging your phone, camera and tablets. If you can’t resist to use your cell or need to do further travel planing with this, don’t worry, just get a Vodafone or Digicel Simcard on mainland, both have good signal here on the island! MEAL PLAN For 50 FJD per person (daily) we offer full-board including 3 typical and homemade Fijian dish as well as mountain spring water, afternoon coffee & tea. Our meals typically consist of freshly catchend fish, chicken and meat cooked with coconut milk accompanied by Cassava, vegetables, noodles and freshly baked bread, of course, fresh seasonal fruits are offered with every meal. Special dietary needs will be accomodated, just let us know! If you don’t feel comfortable drinking the mountain spring water, you can bring your own bottled water with you, if you fancy any other snacks or drinks, please bring them with you as well, as there are no options to buy things on the island! TOURS & ACTIVITIES Here you can unwind, read a book, or simply soak in the serenity of the surroundings... But Wayasewa island also offers the opportunity to explore its natural beauty with four scenic tracks, perfect for leisurely walks! - cast-away movie island trip 100 FJD pp - snorkelling with sharks 60 FJD pp - Ori Island day trip with pic-nic on the beach 100 FJD pp - line or spear fishing 25 FJD p.P. During your stay, we can arrange exciting excursions, including invigorating hikes through lush trails and snorkeling adventures in crystal-clear waters. A magical island in the Yasawas, amazing snorkeling and scuba, ocean always a few meters away. Maria is a wonderful chef, extremely accommodating, took exceptional care of everything. I couldn’t have found a better person to meet than Jo, brothers for life. This was my first home stay and it was a great experience thanks to the hosts. Everyone I met passing through had a great time here. Book with complete confidence, and live some Fiji time.

Jolame and Maria are so lovely. I extended my stay because I really enjoyed to be in this place. I spent a relaxing week and felt at home. I highlty recommand this homestay. Maria cooks yummy fijian food. Do not hesitate to book at Jolame and Maria homestay.

HOW TO GET HERE:
1) Best option:
The Yasawa Flyer takes about 5 hours scenographic journey through all the islands, departing daily at 8.30 am from Denarau Marina (just 10' drive from NADI airport) You can book your Flyer direct at Denarau Marine or on the web site its never fully booked. Please inform the boat that you are going to Jolame Homestay in Wayasewa Island.
ADULT PRICE 190 FJD P.P. - CHILDREN PRICE 95 FJD P.P.
2) Tavewa Sea bus from Lautoka
Not suggest if you suffer from seasickness, pills are reccomended.
From Nadi airport or anywhere in Nadi, please take a taxi to Lautoka Wharf (about 30 minutes - 40 fjd ). Get on Tavewa Seabus ferry which departs at 8 AM daily.
You can just SHOW UP AT LAUTOKA WHARF AND GET TICKETS ON-BOARD if you have time to pre-book with your travel agent in Nadi or Hotel the transport with minivan to lautoka is included ask to your accomodation in Nadi !
There is only one ferry trip per day and a one way trip takes around 5 hours.
One-Way ticket costs 190 FJD -
- Kids 0-3 years old FREE, 4-11 years old HALF PRICE, 12+ normal price.
Remember to the Sea Bus crew you are going to Jolame Homestay in Wayasewa Island.
Please make sure your flight match with boat schedules.
Seabus and Yasawa Flyer leave daily in the morning from the mainland and come back from Wayasewa Island departing around 1 pm.
3. Direct Pick Up or Drop Off
In case you will already be in the Yasawas on your check in date or you are going there on your check out date, there is probably no need to take any ferries!
Please send us the NAME of your resort and we'll pick you up or drop you off by our small boat for a fee, depending on the location and your homestay.
