Le logement ne se trouve pas sur Yalobi mais sur Waya Lailai. Certaines choses sont importantes à savoir car elles ne figurent pas sur l'annonce : il n'y a pas de portes aux chambres, seulement des rideaux et la famille dort dans les pièces adjacentes, donc très peu d'intimité. La douche se prend avec un tonneau et un pichet d'eau froide. Les prix des activités sont un peu supérieurs à l'annonce (5 à 10$ de plus). Attention au fils / gendre ? de Ruci qui a volé le téléphone d'une jeune femme lors d'une soirée sur la plage et nous demandait à tout va si on savait déverrouiller un iPhone. Il nous a aussi fait une action bizarre un soir : il a surgi dans notre chambre une heure après que nous nous soyons couchés, a pointé une torche dans nos yeux et a essayé de nous faire dormir dans la chambre à côté où il y avait juste un lit simple. Voyant notre réaction hostile, il a laissé tomber et est reparti comme si de rien n'était. Sinon la nourriture est excellente et l'île magnifique.

Thank you Ruthey and all the family. It was so special to stay with you. The food was great and a lot. Such a nice and small village. The people are so friendly.

The homestay is located in wayasewa island, not yalobi as it says on the map. Definitely a out of comfort zone experience for us and it was very cool to live with a fijian family and see their way of life. It was difficult to sleep at night because of the heat. Overall, this is more camping than an airbnb, so be advised. They also cooked delicious local food for us for a fraction of what it costs at resorts. They were super kind and welcoming and staying there is one of the most unique thing i ever did. The downside for us was the communication. We had trouble understanding what to do when we go down from the ferry. Also, when one of us had to go on the mainland to get cash, we were told he would be back by noon. He was back at 7pm because they had forgot to tell us that they were giving a lift to someone from the airport, but it is fiji time after all!There is also a good chance that they will charge you more than what they say they would, but it was still cheap. Id say 2 nights max

We arrived on the Island by boat that was arranged by our lovely host. The boat trip itself was already a beautiful start but nothing compared to the beauty and serenity of the island and offcourse the island life. We did a lot of activities on the island such as snorkling with fish and sharks, hiking to the top of the rock on the island, drinking kava with the locals and watching the sunset. We received 3 meals a day which were cooked by our lovely hosts and were very delicious. Laesana and the people of the village were extremly friendly and helpful. They made our stay lovely. The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. The house is right on the beach which is very calm aswell. Would 100% recommend staying here and learning about the culture straight from the people itself. Would love to come back!
