咖啡庄园 Five acre coffee farm, elevation 1500', about one mile up mountain from Highway 11 south Kona. The road is all weather, paved in some places, a little bumpy, worth the 5 min ride. This is Hawaii farm country, not your suburban street with lights and sidewalks. 100 people will visit, 99 love it, one person will complain about the road. Not for everyone. The best views in Kona, quiet, plenty of room. Out of the way, but not isolated. Two bed rooms and a private loft with views. Aloha, We would like to introduce you to our most favorite place we call home. Our Coffee retreat is located about 20+ miles south of the international airport, Kailua Kona, Big island of Hawaii. Our five acre farm with coffee, macnut, banana, orange, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, papaya, avocado, and too many veggies to mention. We take great pride in making our farm a sustainable living farm. Sitting 1500 ft above the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean, with one of the best views in Kona. We over look the famous City Of Refuge national park also know as Honaunau bay. From our living room window you can see all this and the two most famous snorkeling spots in Hawaii, 2 steps in Honaunau and Captain Cook monument in Kealakekua Bay. We still pinch our selves waking up to so much natural beauty right in front of us. Unbelievable starry nights, almost 100% wake up to sunny skies, afternoon rain keeps all of this growing like a machine. We have a dry season from nov-march and a wetter time the rest of the year. A short drive down the hill towards the ocean and you have sun almost all day. We are flip flops and board short farmers all year long. We are a 15 min drive to Choicemart grocery store that has wonderful fresh everything from around the local farms. A few restaurants, coffee shops, fire station 6, and a post office. That makes up our little area. We are surrounded by farms, mostly coffee, macadamia, and avocado. Swimming with dolphins, surfing, snorkeling, fishing, diving, kayaking, hiking, parasailing, and so much more right in front of you. Had a great stay! Roy and Joy’s place had great views and was very peaceful. They were both great and very friendly hosts. Close to the national park and snorkeling. Road was rough but navigable if you take your time.
Roy and Joy are the most warm, welcoming, kind, accommodating hosts one could hope to encounter on AirBnB. Their place is a spectacular spot for those looking for an experience slightly off the beaten path. We were welcomed by a massive bunch of delicious freshly grown apple bananas and their own estate grown dark roasted coffee. The views and sunsets are just as advertised. Stunning. The home is beautiful, well-stocked, and feels historic and homey. When we needed foil and olive oil for a meal Roy happily shared with us. Having traveled extensively in central and South America and Asia…we do understand critters in a place like this. We discovered termites shedding from the ceiling directly above the master bed. Roy very kindly offered to launder our sheets, but the shedding termites continued during our stay. We ended up sleeping in the other bedroom. Roy subsequently had the issue treated by a professional, so hopefully won’t be an issue for future guests!
We loved this place! The views, especially at sunset, were unbeatable! Fabulous home on a working coffee farm with frogs singing us to sleep at night. Would definitely try to book again next time we’re on Hawaii.
“Hawaii is a paradise born of fire.” If you agree with Rand McNally, then Roy and Joy’s is the place to visit. The couple made the adventure of being in paradise truly delightful. They greeted us with the generous offer of sharing in the bounty of their coffee farm. We were shown accommodations with the most incredible views no matter which direction we turned. Everything we needed was available to us. The gracious couple shared their knowledge of the island as well as the fruits from their orchard.
It was a great home base for daily excursions. Beautiful and peaceful way to start and end each day with the amazing views and fresh fruit. We were so grateful for the use of snorkeling and beach gear along with cooler. We would load up and go each day to a different area of the island depending on the weather. Roy and Joy were engaging, hospitality and helpful. We loved staying here.

We live on a beautiful coffee farm with the best ocean views on the coast. We also are Hawaii red cross life guards doing tours to Captain Cook Monument. I am a Retired Firefighter with 20 years on a busy paramedic engine. Joy is from Beijing, English & Mandarin is spoken here on the farm. We also love to travel, China, America, Fiji.
