To put it bluntly, the condition of the houses we rented was utterly appalling. The walls were riddled with holes and clearly hadn't been properly cleaned. The state of the beds, sheets, and cushions was shocking. The mattresses, box springs, pillows, and sheets were all stained, and some of the pillows didn't even have casings. We discovered dead bugs, dried contact lenses, and an unidentified wallet on the bed sides and window ledges. Furthermore, the refrigerator, cupboards, and drawers in the kitchen still contained dried-up crumbs, and the kitchenware in the drawers was dirty and broken. Even the towels that had been supposedly prepared for our use were still wet. On top of all this, the refrigerators had severely damaged shelves, and the air conditioner was non-functional, leaving us uncomfortable for the entire duration of our stay. The yard outside was similarly littered, and we were greeted by the unpleasant sight of a dead bird and garbage bags on the landing.

It is unfortunate that the company (Vacasa Maryland) has done a substandard job of our vacation. They have no true backup plan when something goes wrong, no people on site to fix problems, and provided the bare minimum. The cleaning people, left bags of trash on the balcony and there were a number of chairs that should have been tossed out. Someone could have gotten hurt. We rented 4 units because we had 23 people, one of the units had no heat and we were told it couldn't be fixed because it was the holiday week. REALLY, there are many that would come out to fix the problem, even during the holiday week. Will never stay at this place again as long as this company is managing the grounds. It is not worth the stress when I am supposed to be relaxing.

Unfortunately I never got to stay at the property but my reservation was used by someone unknown but the company still hasn’t contacted me to rectify the situation

Close to the beach and perfect for a big group. Beautiful view of the bay. The place was as pictured and clean. Communication with the host could be better as we were sent an incorrect check in code and had a broken window in one of the cottages upon arrival.

Got to the rental. Super excited. Had a family reunion. As soon as we got there we noticed all the trash and cans from the previous guest all in the yard. The insides of the buildings were mostly clean. The pictures in the ads are close to what it use to probably look like. Lot of dry rot. Nails were sticking out of the stairs to building 114. On top of that, building 114 has an upstairs that comes with the rental but when we got there it was labeled 115 for the top portion as well as the incorrect code. Had to go through an hour of phone calls while my guest were there waiting to have them tell us the upstairs code and verify that we paid for that as well even though the ad says building 112-114. Why is there 115 on the upstairs of building 114 when the pictures in the ad show the upstairs as 114 and part of the rental just for us to have issues by the time we got there to figure out if we got scammed or if we were going to get what we paid for. The managers and host never helped. The guest services from vascasa did. The location was probably the best part for us. Walked to the beach and some of our favorite places were close by.
