Great place to stay! We enjoyed it!

We arrived on Saturday to a house with no heat during a season that had temperatures below freezing at night. There were two fireplaces and plenty of wood to help keep warm. However, one of the chimneys was clogged and filled the house with smoke, forcing us to evacuate. For the next two nights I did not sleep, as I was extremely worried about a house fire or CO poisoning. While there existed two Smoke detectors, I was concerned that neither had alarmed when the house smoked out. On Tuesday morning, the owner was able to deliver propane. There were numerous potential electrical issues with the property, including several uncovered outlets with exposed wiring. There is an issue with the electric dryer which forced us to seek an alternative method to clean our laundry. Finally, the outside deck is mostly rotten and didn't feel very stable with more than two people on it. I recommend that the house be removed from the platform until repairs can be adequately effected.

When we first got there we couldn't get in cause the key pad on the door didn't work, so the info on the app was wrong. The evolve manager responded quickly and got us into the box with the key. We got into the house and the first thing I noticed was that the toilet looked dirty and it was a little dusty. The next thing we noticed was that the water was not running. Evolve quickly contacted the owner, but we had to wait an hour or so for them to turn it back on. The place waS fun, but the first night complications had us frustrated. The lake was beautiful, the fall foliage was amazing, and there was plenty of space for all of us.

It was very cold, as the propane tank was dry and it took several days to get it filled so that we had heat. The fireplaces helped somewhat, but I had small children staying with us and they all ended up sick. We had temperatures in the low 20's if not lower. Luckily we were there to see family in Vinita and did not have to spend much time at the house. The exterior deck is not safe as there are deck boards that are rotting and the staircase leading to the deck from the side of the house needs to be redone by a licensed contractor. There was some damages that I have photos of that were that way when we arrived and someone else was letting their dog roam unleashed around the property and use the restroom without cleaning up after it. My dog that was with me was leashed anytime while outside and I cleaned up after him. And yes I watched the other dog's owner stroll down the road allowing his dog to do as they pleased.
