新奥尔良 · 整套民居 · 5室6床2.0卫 · 可住10人 · Spacious, Steps to Streetcar, 3 Car Gated Parking
Spread out and relax in this beautifully renovated historic uptown home. The house is located between St Charles and Magazine St where you can walk to the Mardi Gras parades and St Charles Ave streetcar and to all the fantastic shopping and dining on Magazine. Hardwood floors, high ceilings, and architectural details give the true New Orlean's experience while the completely renovated kitchen brings modern day comfort. The private, fenced off street parking is a rare amenity in New Orleans.
This may be a newly acquired property for this owner. Lots of potential, but needs work. I am sure it will be a charming place once updated. We were very uncomfortable due to the inadequate heating. Potential customers really should know that this property has a lot of uneven stairs to climb. And that the property it’s self is upstairs. Be ready to share bathrooms. 4 of the bedrooms don’t have bathrooms. No bathroom on top level. Our host was wonderful!! They made every effort to make us comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the city, but our accommodations were not what we expected.
Communicating with Jessie was excellent prior and during the stay. The fenced backyard provided a safe place to park two vehicles. The home was spacious
This house was in great location and felt like home away from home. Would book again and had a great time.
The GOOD: Beautiful location. 2 blocks from La Boulangerie/Magazine, 3 blocks from Prytania Street, and a 10 minute walk from the streetcar line. Spacious. Internet. TV's. Beds. Coffee. They accommodated an early check-in. The BAD: Poorly insulated (though this is incredibly common in Nola). You'll need to keep the window units running most of the time to fight any heat/humidity, and conversation will be difficult as a result of how loud they are. Driveway advertises 3 spaces but that's optimistic -- plan for 2 spots. There were construction materials laying around the carport area, and the low overhang & cramped stairs are a bit treacherous. No curtains in the bedrooms is sort of insane with how bright the rooms get. There are downstairs neighbors so something to consider. The UGLY: The property requires guests to wash their own linens, which may explain why one of the washcloths had a brown stain on it (yuck!). Cleaning crew really needs to look more closely at what they're folding
This house is located in a prime uptown location between St Charles Avenue and Magazine Street and between Napoleon and Jefferson. It doesn't get much better than this! Walk to the streetcar and Mardi Gras parades one way and restaurants and shopping the other way. The location doesn't disappoint!
