Welcome to Historic Bradenton! 1925 Florida home is peaceful yet, centrally located. Walk to wine/martini bars, breweries, great restaurants, AMI ferry dock, marina, Lecom Park (Spring Training) & the new Riverwalk! Have coffee on porch or walk to the Farmer's Market. Only 15-minute drive to Anna Maria beaches. (Picnic coolers & beach chairs area provided). Main level, 1 bedroom suite has private entrance, laundry available & 1 designated parking space. Host is local, not a management company! There is a living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom for your use. Fresh towels, bed linens, and basic toiletries & hair dryer are provided for your use. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal and prep your morning coffee. I absolutely loved my stay at the charming Lantern House! It was the perfect venue for a little front garden picnic with the girls for my golden birthday! I would HIGHLY recommend staying here if you’re looking for a perfect place to relax or host a girl’s weekend. It is walkable to downtown for the farmer’s market and just a short drive to the most beautiful beach in town, Anna Maria Island. Although I’m a Bradenton local, I enjoyed feeling like a tourist in this gorgeous historic house that is decorated so beautifully! I hope to stay again in the future!!
Gabrielle was responsive and the place was as advertised: cozy and clean. We had one issue that Gabrielle was quick and professional in addressing. There was hot water and good pressure in the shower, and a comfortable mattress-two essentials in my book. It was close to the major roads to get to the beaches yet on a quiet traffic-free inlet near downtown Bradenton. A good stay overall. A quaint old house, nicely furnished, and as quirky as a hundred year old house should be.
This was a great stay. We came for a wedding but was still able to enjoy the area, walk to the river and go to the beach. The host was incredibly welcoming and friendly, they had thoughtful touches from a personalized welcome note to the beach chairs and cooler we borrowed for our beach day. Everything in the house was thoughtfully placed, and no detail was overlooked. The bed was incredibly comfortable (which I’m always very thankful for) and the kitchen was well stocked with all you’d need to make meals in house. Would absolutely stay here again!

Gabrielle’s place was perfect for our stay! Spotlessly clean, close to many other towns in the area, had everything we needed for an 6 day stay, and a great space for the two of us. She was very communicative and friendly—we even ran into her outside while enjoying the porch one morning and she gave us some great restaurant recommendations. Would 100% book here again! Much charm.

The home is located in the Wares Creek/Downtown Bradenton neighborhood. This central location is perfect for a stroll along Wares Creek to check-out the charming Old Florida homes and large bird/wildlife community that lives along the creek. It is also 5-10 minute walk to many bars/restaurants with some of our favorites being: Oak & Stone (great food and rooftop bar), O'Bricks (Martini Monday's are awesome!), Chateau 13 (amazing food & wine experience) and Sage Biscuit (fabulous breakfast!). Flat, easy walk to Motorworks Brewery & Lecom Park (Spring Training). We are also only 15 minute drive from Gulf/Anna Maria Island beaches… so best of both worlds in this location!
You will have your own free and designated off-street parking space (Suite A parking spot) for use during your stay. It's easiest to navigate to most places via car or Uber, if not visiting one of the many downtown spots on foot.

My husband Nate and I met on an airplane, fell in love, got married September of 2011 and are now ready to continue our adventures exploring the world. We have the most fun together when we can sit together at a restaurant and just eat, talk, and people watch for hours. No matter what we do or where we go, we always have fun together, so now its just a matter of where to go next... We are super clean, non-smokers and we expect a tidy place to stay while we are vacations. While enjoying time off, we enjoy exploring the nearby locations and neighborhoods but spend an equal amount of time relaxing in our room. Because of that, we look for great locations that are close to the action but still a bit off the beaten path to ensure quiet and privacy when desired.
