Hard to find a more beautiful backyard view of Kaaawa valley. This is right next to the road and you can hear cars driving all night if the windows are open. There’s a continual breeze, feels amazing and a small beach across the street. Nice to watch the sunrise, but too close to the road to enjoy for any period of time. Home is completely stocked with spices, appliances, beach chairs snorkels, sand castle stuff, towels, everything you need which was great. LaRona was fantastic at responding and communicated with great tips for a great stay. Overall, the house could be amazing but just fell short. There was blood on the bathroom wall(from a squished bug or gecko?) Lots of gecko poop everywhere. Inside and outside. Fridge, washer and lamps are all rusted out, counter top separating from counters. All works well, just rusty/run down, a bit of cleaning and refreshing, this could be great. Loved our stay, home didn’t detract from our experience, but didn’t add to it.

We had a great stay at the place and highly recommend it. The place is away from crowds, yet central to explore many parts of the island. The scenery around the house is beautiful! The beach across the street was nice as well, although the sand area wasn’t very large. The house was perfect for our family - we have 3 kids aged 5-10. They loved playing in the yard. The house was well stocked and pretty clean. While inside the house looked just like the pictures, some work was recently done in the backyard to make it look different. Also, LaRona is a great and responsive host! Couldn’t ask for more from her, she even got a new grill when I mentioned I planned on BBQ’ing often. We would stay there again.

The house and property were as described, the views in the back yard were amazing!! Having access to a beach right across the road was awesome! The house was very comfortable to stay in and felt very Hawaiian!

Beautiful backyard overlooking Kualoa, cute pond, spacious inside, would definitely return again. Things I wish I knew: roosters will wake you up early if they are around, there was a frog you could hear so loud from the master bedroom we slept in the other room which was more quiet. There were 6+ geckos on the wall when we arrived and they stuck around. Their sounds and presence wasn't an issue as much as their droppings you would have to clean up multiple times a day. We left the kitchen cabinet doors open to keep light inside of them to deter the geckos from going where the dishes are, but we ended up just using the dishwasher as storage for clean dishes for ease as they weren't inside of there. Easy to find and access. We sat on the porch having coffee every morning and didn't want to leave! The host gave us ideas for grocery stores and places to visit before we arrived and was kind.

Hands down this was the best airbnb I have ever stayed at! LaRona is an exceptional host and I cannot speak enough great things about her. The house was absolutely gorgeous and felt like a home, and the views were breathtaking. Our whole group enjoyed the peaceful getaway. Also many people did mention the geckos being everywhere, BUT keep in mind you are on an island so of course there are going to be wildlife. Plus the geckos were cute! Heaven on earth does exist and it’s the mushroom house.
