Barbara was a great host, very responsive and friendly. The location was great with the winery on the grounds. Very cute cottage, perfect for a couple's getaway weekend. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others looking to visit Cape May. Short drive to beach and the shops of Cape May.

I stayed for a 2 night getaway with my siblings. We loved the location! It was off the beaten path but we were able to drive into town in 8 minutes. We walked down to the winery more than once, so nice! Check in was simple and parking was right out front. The Merlot Cottage is very cute! Lovely little living room and attached kitchen. The bedroom was decorated nicely and the bed was comfortable! Some things to be aware of though. The kitchen is very minimally equipped. We chose Air B&B because we like to use the kitchen and cook. There is only one pot and one pan. There is also no dishwasher, which is fine, but there were no dish towels. We ended up buying some basic supplies from the store. We are all in our 50s and our brother was staying on the pull out bed. Beware: the mattress was SO thin! He ended up folding up the couch in the middle of the night and sleeping on the cushions. Fine for a child, not an adult. Although some minor adjustments would be nice, we would come back again

Really cute place. Very close to beach and parks. Winery is great. Good food and atmosphere. Great mattress and bedding. Very comfortable

Barbara's cottage is perched on the grounds of a beautiful winery and provides everything a visitor to Cape May would want or need. I hope to come back again next spring!
