Came up for the bank holiday weekend to explore the Keswick area. Accommodation was immaculate and extremely spacious easily sleeping 6. We made the most of the on site facilities and close driving distance into centre Keswick. Couldn’t fault the stay. Thank you

My family and I had a wonderful weekend at mallard cottage which is decorated to a very high standard. The site is beautiful and in a good location not far from the lake.

On arrival check in was easy. Parking outside the place meant it was easy to unload. The weather was awful so it minimised getting wet. The kitchen/living space had been refurbished after making the booking so that was a nice surprise and it felt like a nice upgrade. Kitchen was stocked full of everything you need(plates, pots, pans, kettle, cleaning bits under the sink) fridge was sparkling clean as was the oven. As we had young children we tried to keep the place reasonably warm but found using the hive system a bit fiddly. The new tv is enormous and great for viewing. Bedrooms and bathrooms met expectation and good sleeps were had. The only minor problem would be that if you go to bed and someone stays up as the living room is upstairs you can hear absolutely everything above you. Even when people are trying to be quiet the sound still passes through. Totally minor in grand scheme of things. Great place, great value and great things to do on site aswell (swimming) Thank you hosts.

We were able to find the holiday village fairly easily, but once on site we struggled to find the actual property. The hotel reception were very helpful and gave us a map and directions and then we found it quite easily. The key safe was easy to use. On entering the property we were pleasantly surprised to find it so warm. Very welcome on a cold October day. The property was very clean and well equipped. The lounge chairs and sofas plentiful and comfy. The shower over the bath in the main bathroom was powerful and temperature easily adjustable. The area was quiet and the rear of the property overlooked open grassland. The park and pitch and putt were quite close to the property as was entrance to the hotel where the other facilities and activities could be found. Generally overall the property was as described in the listing and we had a very enjoyable stay. The owners were very helpful and quickly responsive to any questions and queries we had. We would love to go back again.

Lovely short stay at Mallard Cottage in Whitbarrow Village. Great setting, lots to do to keep my son amused. Hope to stay again sometime
