Frogham · 农家乐 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Romantic & cosy converted stable block with bikes
Dobbin’s Stable is a freshly renovated brick built stable block, one of two, located on a farm, which combine all the charm and character of a period building with the style and comfort of a warm and comfortable home. Set in an enviable position in the New Forest National Park, where ponies, donkeys, cows and pigs roam free, and the walking and biking trails are literally on our doorstep, we are also just a stone’s throw from a fab pub, cafe and farm shop, and of course the New Forest itself. Dobbin's Stable at Belle Vue Farm New Forest is an open plan boutique space, with raised king sized bed, lounge area with sofa and TV, dining area and kitchen complete with kettle, toaster, mini oven, induction hob, fridge, freezer, sink and dishwasher. The spacious bathroom boasts a roll top bath with shower, and traditionally styled sanitary ware. The property comfortably sleeps a maximum of two adults. The neighbouring property; Winnie's Stable, sleeps 2 adults and 1 infant, and could be booked together with this property to sleep up to 5 guests (4 adults and 1 infant). Set in a courtyard, with its own seating areas, BBQ and Pizza Oven, shared only with 'Winnie's Stable' next door, there are also mountain bikes available to borrow. A footpath runs alongside the property which takes you directly into the open forest, and to the local pub, just a three minute stroll away.
Just home from a fabulous stay at Dobbins stable. Loved the ambiance as soon as you walked in, felt right at home. Very tastefully decorated and planned out - immaculate! The breakfast was a real treat with eggs from their chickens, croissants, muffins, cereal, bread and orange juice with a little treat to have with a cuppa. We were blessed with the weather and enjoyed the little sun trap at the end of the day sitting outside. Emma & Steve are fantastic hosts, very friendly and attentive. We will be returning soon.
Huge thanks to Emma and Steve for our stay at their wonderful Stable. Dobbin's wasn't only exactly as described, but far better! When we arrived there was a cosy, comforting and relaxing feel that stayed with us for the duration of our stay. Steve gave us some excellent recommendations for walks and restaurants, even though we were supplied with plenty of information prior to our arrival, which we gladly accepted. The area is so tranquil and relaxing with walking routes galore on the doorstep, and short drives to everything else. Highly recommended if you need a break from the concrete-jungle, or if you are planning on exploring the New Forest.
Emma and Steve are lovely, friendly hosts. Steve met us as we got there and was very helpful about local amenities. The Stable was beautiful. Spotlessly clean, up to date decor and everything you could possibly need to live your usual way of life. Thank you for the gorgeous provisions too. A sweet area, quiet and peaceful. We loved it.
This is a beautiful stable conversion, everything is really tasteful, spotlessly clean and has everything you could need. The location is perfect for the peaceful north of the new forest, and easy to get by car to the more well known villages a bit further south. Emma and Steve were very responsive when we asked for a couple of things. They leave a very well equipped breakfast basket, you don’t need to bring milk, eggs or bread! And they also provide very good cake and enough tea and coffee for 2-3 days. There’s a nice outdoor space too. The only thing to be aware of is that the bed can only be accessed from one side, so if you have two people who may need to get up in the night to use the loo it’s pretty much impossible to avoid waking up the person on the far side. Hopefully that doesn’t include too many people, as this is a really nice place to stay.
The village of Frogham is set in the New Forest National Park, 219 square miles of pasture, heath and forest, where ponies, cows, donkeys, pigs and deer roam freely. This part of the forest is quieter than the more southern parts, and there are in general fewer tourists and much less traffic.
Within easy walking distance, there are three pubs, a wonderful cafe, and a farm shop/deli. Plenty of options without needing to drive anywhere if so desired, and of course the Forest itself is on our doorstep.
Our closest train stations are Salisbury or Bournemouth, and a taxi would be the easiest route to make your way here. We are approximately a mile from the nearest bus stop, but once here you may borrow our bikes or walk to pubs, a shop and cafe.
Driving around the Forest is easy, and there are many free car parks from which to explore the forest itself, or visit one of the numerous local attractions.
