Relax and explore with a stay in our beautifully converted stone barn nestled in nature by the Cornish coast. Guests are invited to explore our 4 acre grounds (including meadows, wild gardens, orchards and woodland), and with a leather goods studio on site, the village pub and pottery just 200 metres away, and beaches, surfing spots and endless nature walks on the doorstep, there is much on offer to make your stay special. We are dog and family friendly and cannot wait to welcome you! The beautifully finished self-contained barn conversion is attached to the main house and forms part of the original historic farmstead courtyard. We have two double bedrooms (one kingsize and another kingsize that can be converted into twin), a bathroom (with rainfall shower and bath), a fully kitted out kitchen and open plan dining and lounge area all beautifully styled for a luxurious and peaceful get away. The dedicated garden space has outdoor dining and bbq facilities with outdoor sofas and deckchairs that have views over the orchard and wooded valley. You will have your own parking space (for up to 2 cars) and a private entrance. Whether you walk, surf or rest by staying cosied up playing games and watching movies we guarantee you will not need to go far to unwind and relax.

Well Barn is beautiful, comfortable and stylish. We were three friends on a celebratory weekend away and we had a super time. The welcome hamper was generous, and the fresh flowers and plants made the property feel homely and welcoming. There are books and games, which we made use of, and everything you would need. There is plenty of helpful information, clearly provided, about the locality. (Based on that recommendation we had an excellent meal at the Farmers Arms in Woolsery.) The enclosed garden was great as we had a dog, but the extended grounds are also lovely for a wander, or to sit on the hillside watching the sunset with a glass of prosecco. Rebecca and family were all very friendly and helpful. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!
Lovely accommodation, very well furnished and decorated. Well provisioned, and amazing grounds to explore. 2 mins walk to a lovely pub. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We'll be back. My favourite AirBnB!
Exceeded our expectations! A beautiful, calm, and stylish home from home, lovely rural setting, fabulous hosts and the area was great. Walks and history in every direction, yet quiet and unspoilt. Easily accommodated four adults, we loved relaxing and dining together in wonderful surroundings. We couldn’t have asked for more. It was the highlight of our trip. Thank you Becky and Tommy for a warm welcome and delicious treats provided.
Family stay for x4 nights. Becky was lovely to communicate with and very helpful. The location is fantastic and the accommodation was very comfortable and cosy. Well equipped kitchen. The hill side and outside space has a beautiful view across and down the Coombe, paths to the Strawberry Water stream and seating to sit and relax. It's a great location for the pub, local exploring and walking to the beach or cliffs. We'll definitely keep Well Barn in mind for return visits to Welcome.
Our stay was amazing! The house is beautiful with thoughtful interiors, incredible plants and generous touches such as breakfast and scones. Tommy and Becky were warm, friendly and helpful. It’s the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in and will keep it in mind for future stays.

The barn is nestled in 4 acres of grounds to which guests have full access. The grounds include the CARV leather studio (shopping and workshops available), wildlife flower gardens, organic allotments and a cider orchard (in its early years), meadows, al fresco dining spots and ferny woodland walks.
Welcombe is a beautiful coastal village on the border of North Devon and Cornwall within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have a wonderful village pub, the Old Smithy Inn, local walks, a church, a play park, and are also blessed with the stunning National Trust Welcombe Mouth and South West Coast Path just a 5 minute drive (or 20 minute walk). The Marsland Devon Wildlife Trust reserve is a 10 min walk.
The village is also home to a number of artisan businesses, including the CARV Leather Studio & Shop, Welcombe Pottery, Pacha Designs (kitchens and homeware), and Popalini & Jezando Ceramics.
Welcombe is ideally located to explore both North Devon and North Cornwall. Heading north into Devon we have convenient access to the Hartland Peninsula, Bideford, Instow and Appledore, and Dartmoor further afield. Heading south into North Cornwall the bustling seaside town of Bude and an array of beaches are within 20 minutes drive, with Widemouth, Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac within an hours drive.
Other exceptional day trip destinations are within 1.5 hours drive, including Padstow/Rock, the Eden Project, Newquay, Fowey and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Welcombe is accessed via the A39 and well maintained countryside lanes. The lane to Well Barn is narrow but good. Our driveway can be a little bumpy but take it steady and you will be fine! Dedicated parking is provided within the courtyard immediately next to the property.
