This newly re-named, historic Schooner captain's house will be a place that your family will want to come back to year after year! Located just minutes away( walking that is!)from the charming village of Southwest Harbor and it's shops, galleries, restaurants and lobster pounds. All of Acadia National park's trails & feature( except Schoodic peninsula) are within 5-35 minutes making this a nice home base to hike & recreate from. Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. This spacious inn turned vacation home has 5 bedrooms, 3- king suites, with outdoor patios or deck, 1-double, 1-queen all featuring private bathrooms. The main level of the home is completely set up for family entertainment. The kitchen is family style with double dishwashers, refrigerators, ranges and all the equipment needed to serve up family feasts! The dining table seats 8-10 with double sliding glass doors to an outdoor deck overlooking the garden area.

What a great place! Loved everything about this house, it is exactly what you think a house in Maine would be. Lots of room, Great kitchen. Very relaxing! You can ealk to places near by and great for day trips to Bar harbor,Acadia National Park. Christy was a great host! Made sure we had everything we needed!
Charming, beautifully furnished, spacious house with comfy beds/bedding, a lovely garden, and many cozy places to gather and sit for our family of 9. So nice to return to from a long day of hiking and exploration. Kitchen better equipped than our own! Quick walk to very cute SWH. Christie was super responsive and friendly. We had a great stay!
Staying here really enhanced our family vacation. The house was spacious, comfortable and had lots of lovely little extras. Everything was really pre-planned on the host's end, anticipating everything we might need, from firewood for the fire pit to cooking utensils, games and more! Would highly recommend!

Beautiful ocean front community in a working harbor. Nice neighborhood for walking with a small children's park just up the road in the village center.
We have an unloading area near the kitchen that allows maximum of two cars parked single file. There is also a lower parking lot that can be used for overflow. Upper parking lot will be restricted to anyone on property needing help with accessibility, other guests will be notified as soon as possible if this is the case.
