This exquisitely designed guest home has 3 available suites. The property is steps from the lake, surrounded by mesmerizing ponds and cedar trees for privacy, birds & nature. The rental includes access to a salt water pool, towel service, gym, a dedicated professional host and a massage therapist (Inquire about discount). The Main Upper suite in the guest house is located on the top floor and includes a kitchen, living room with TV, dining area, bedroom with own private bathroom, desk with workspace and 2 extra single beds that have an amazing view of the lake. Lower Suite 1 is located on the ground level and features a Queen bed, large closet, desk for working, living room equipped a TV and hypnotic views of the water fountain in the Bluebird Sanctuary. Lower Suite 2 is also located on the ground level and this space is known to inspire all book lovers as it features an incredible library, King size bed, sofa couch, TV and an adjustable standing desk facing some of the best views of the property. Please note that we only rent out the guest house to one group (maximum of 8 in a group) at a time. This ensures the group that books will receive complete privacy at all times.

The Bluebird Sanctuary was a perfect retreat for eclipse watching. Positioned right on the river, you wake to the sound of birds and moving water. The house was very commodious. My daughter and I each had our own private bathroom and "quiet" space. There is a well-appointed gym with yoga mats and resistance bands. Matthew, the co-host, brought us a bottle of wine from his own collection. Having arrived on a Sunday - the Canadian wine shops were closed. He also offered to light the fire pit on several occasions (although there was so much to do, we did not take him up on the offer). The kitchen was well equipped. We came with a partially prepared dinner and ate there the first night. The table was a wonderful gathering space. Most importantly - it was CLEAN - which is my thing. Thanks Kurtis and Matthew for a wonderful stay.

Kurtis is a great host and made sure we had everything and more. He’s extremely friendly and helpful and definitely helped make our stay even more enjoyable. Plenty recommendations for us to see and do, to making sure we had little extras to enhance our stay. I highly recommend staying with Kurtis if you’re looking for some peace and quiet with a luxurious feel.
This space is truly special and I’ll be booking again and again and again! The gardens are spectacular and deeply grounding. The pool is clean, warm and highly addicting in the best way possible if you love swimming. The host was friendly, respectful of our privacy and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The guest home is extremely clean and the views are better than the pictures, especially the stars at night. Kurtis was kind to provide us with delicious complimentary smoothie samples and ensured we had everything we needed. If I could give this place a 6 star rating I definitely would.

The fourth largest island in the Thousand Islands chain (after Wolfe, Wellesley, and Grindstone), Howe is about eight miles long by three miles wide. The Island was originally named Ka-ou-enesegoan by local Iroquois. Two ferry services connect to the mainland across the Bateau Channel (at one time called Pittsburgh Channel) making it possible to drive much of the length of the island without retracing the route–but few visitors are aware of this, or even of the island.
There are no retail stores on Howe Island, however the towns of Gananoque and City of Kingston, make the resources of those communities relatively convenient. This home is perfect for those seeking the flexibility of being conveniently located near the city of Kingston while also having access to a private peaceful Oasis.
The Howe Island ferry is a short 15 minute drive from Downtown Kingston.
